We learn by doing
We simply PLAY !
The Little London Pipera staff has also taken this time to learn about new routines and settle in alongside children. This year, we are welcoming more than 72 children enrolled in all the age groups - their nationalities include Greek, Israeli, Spanish, Italian, Peruvian, Columbian, Guatemalan, American, Turkish, Irish, Lebanese, French, Portuguese, Brazilian, Lithuanian - all of them celebrating multiculturalism and contributing their priceless heritages to the school community.
Starting September, we set off to explore plenty of new initiatives for staff to work on with children to provide high quality education here at Little London Pipera. These plans include offering more training opportunities for staff, as well as taking learning outdoors to make the most of the new playground area and surrounding open areas. Teachers have taken the initiative to set up new opportunities for children's talents to shine and learn making them part of our extracurricular clubs scheme. Finally, I would like to wish everyone a wonderful year, full of learning opportunities and personal growth.

Singing fosters the development of your child's most important instrument, the voice, through vocal exploration, songs and chants. Moving develops body awareness, coordination and spatial relationships, through synchronized movement, creative movement, and simple dances. Playing instruments introduces a variety of musical timbres with percussive instruments such as rhythm sticks, jingle bells, resonator bars and more. Creating stimulates your child's imagination and encourages selfexpression with sound and movement. Patterning boosts your child's ability to think musically through the integration of basic rhythmic and tonal language. Listening cultivates your child's heightened attentiveness to sound discrimination. Exploring timbre, dynamics, tempo and pitch lays the foundation for conceptualization of elements of music.
