Many have stated that it is impossible to know whether or not we are living in the last days before the second coming of Jesus Christ. However, below you will find dramatic proof that these are the endtimes. The proofs below defy coincidence.
Euphrates River to Be Dried Up
In Revelation 16:12, the Bible predicts that the Euphrates River will be dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the east to invade Israel. This will happen at the time of the battle of Armageddon according to verse 16 of the same chapter. The battle of Armageddon will be the final battle at which time Jesus will return and fight on the side of the nation of Israel. Immediately thereafter He will establish His kingdom and usher in His one thousand-year reign of peace. On January 13, 1990, the Indianapolis Star carried the headline Turkey Will Cut Off Flow of Euphrates for One Month. The article stated that a huge reservoir had been built by Turkey. While filling up the reservoir, the flow of the Euphrates would be stopped for one month and a concrete plug for a diversion channel built. These things have now been done. With this newly built dam, Turkey has the ability to stop the Euphrates River at will. The conditions for fulfilling this 1,900 year-old prophecy are now in place.
the Bible prophesies that an army of 200 million soldiers will launch a war which would kill the third part of men. Never in the history of the world until our present generation has there been a power on earth that could field 200 million soldiers. However, the late ruler of China, Mao Tse Tung boasted in his diary that he could field an army of 200 million. The CIA World Factbook reports that in the year 2001, it is estimated that China has 200,886,946 men of military age, and this number is growing by 10 million per year.

Worldwide Numbering System Predicted In Revelation 13, the Bible prophesies that
a world dictator will soon rule over a world government. He will cause all people in the earth to receive a number without which they will be unable to buy or sell. We are seeing this prophecy fulfilled before our eyes in a most astonishing way. Nearly every human being in the world now has been assigned a number. In America it is our Social Security number. In the past few years, we have seen this number extended to newborns. A child without a Social Security number cannot be declared as a dependent on an income tax return. We have seen the emergence of electronic money, shopping with credit cards, and many people urging the abolishment of cash. All of these things could not possibly have been fulfilled until this present time. Only after the invention of the computer could such a worldwide numbering system be administered.
Revelation 13:7 and Daniel 7:23 prophesy the establishment of a world government. The term New World Order has become a prevalent phrase in the worlds political culture. Mikhail Gorbachev made the term famous, and Pope John Paul II has referred to it repeatedly. In the September 12, 1990 issue of the Chicago Tribune, our former president George Bush said, Iraq is the first test for the New World Order. He emphatically stated that the Iraq War is Saddam Hussein against the world. The United Nations troops are continually referred to as the multi-national forces. The decision has been made to establish an interdependent community of nations that will rule the world under United Nations authority. The Bible says that this will lead us into a great world government. The formation of this government is at hand.

Dark Intentions simply had to be written. The generation that will almost certainly witness the rise of the biblical man of sin must be equipped to recognize the prophesied Antichrist for who he is. This is especially important since Jesus said that, if possible, the very elect would be deceived by him. Using nearly 40 years of intense study of Bible prophecy and of current events, I have attempted to paint a picture of what the Antichrist will be like and what he will do. The Apostle Paul wrote to our generation in I Thessalonians 5:4-5, But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. In Dark Intentions, the Antichrist is not an unrealistic three-eyed monster, but is the masterful politician that the Bible says he will be. Dark Intentions Inside the Mind of the Antichrist
Antichrist will appear on the world scene. However, I confess that I will be surprised if it does not happen within the next five years. All the indicators declare that it cant be much longer! When Jesus came to earth the first time, He was not at all like most people expected the Messiah to be. Consequently, most people did not recognize Him for who He was. WHAT IS ENDTIME MAGAZINE?

In 1968, Irvin Baxter discovered the United States and other modern nations in the Bible. He also found the Berlin Wall in the Bible and that one day it was to be torn down, reuniting Germany, and that event would be the catalyst to spark an international movement called the New World Order. These things have now come to pass. Irvin Baxter, a Pentecostal minister, began Endtime Ministries in 1986 when he wrote A Message For The President, a book explaining the major prophecies of the Bible which he had been teaching since 1968. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, prophetic fulllment accelerated rapidly. The decision was made to launch ENDTIME. RFID in six?
I enjoy your insights very much. I believe you are correct in your assessment that RFID technology will eventually become part of a mark of the beast system. Heres why: I work at a major high tech software company as a consultant on our deployment/ systems management technologies with several nationally-known retail customers and banks in the northwest U.S. and beyond. Although I am not familiar with the exact details involved in implementing RFID and the POS (point-of-sale) system, I can only imagine that it would take most of my customers about three years to implement if a total combined solution was available today (which there isnt). I base this on how long it currently takes customers to plan and adopt our companys technologies. I do believe that someday a group of people will be forced to take the mark of the beast in order to buy and sell, but it seems to me that we would surely need to have the POS systems in place at retail environments before a chip could be mandated. As of now I dont see it happening in the next three years, but possibly in the next six. (Name withheld by request)
REPLY We know for sure that the mark of the beast is at least three and one-half years away or more. We know this because we have not yet
witnessed the confirmation of the covenant, which occurs three and one-half years before the beginning of the great tribulation.
Who Killed Jesus?
I was appalled to see the picture of the Denver church sign claiming Jews killed Jesus! As a Holy Ghost-filled, born again believer baptized in Jesus name, I wish I could personally reassure every Jewish person that true Christians do not believe or endorse that mentality. As a Christian I know that it was MY sins that crucified Jesus - it makes no difference whatsoever whose voices called for His death or whose hands drove the nails into His. In fact, true Christians know that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob planned and ordained the crucifixion of Jesus, the substitute innocent Lamb to be sacrificed as payment for the sins of the whole world. We know and believe that the events of the crucifixion were foretold in the books of the Law and the Prophets many hundreds of years before they were ever fulfilled in exact detail by the death of Jesus on the cross. We also know and believe that as God manifested in the flesh, Jesus voluntarily suffered and died on the cross to pay the price of our guilt and sin in transgressing Gods law of righteousness. Furthermore, true Bible-believing
Christians know that neither the Jewish leaders of that day nor the Roman government, nor its soldiers, had the power or authority to do anything at all concerning Jesus except what was given to them by God to carry out His will and plan of salvation. God Himself influenced and orchestrated the political and religious climate leading up to Jesus death on the cross. Consider John 19:10-11: Then saith Pilate unto him (Jesus), Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power [at all] against me, except it were given thee from above. In answer to the question Who killed Jesus? every single one of us can truthfully say I did. -S. Bless Israel
I recall one part of the Bible telling us that those who bless Israel will be blessed and those that curse her will be cursed. Certainly, this is a good reason to not do ill towards Israel but rather to do good for her. It is also written that all who choose to burden themselves with Israel will be crushed. This seems to make it a bad thing to get involved with Israeli affairs. How do each of these relate to how far and to what extent the U.S. should

REPLY We came through customs in Greece on our recent Endtime tour. We went through the custom windows marked for non-EU residents. When you came through, there were probably no EU residents using those lines. Consequently, they had you to use them to expedite processing. The U.S. is not a member of the EU.

In the news links on your website, how can you list a U.S. military mission to stop Osama bin Laden and the Taliban under the same heading, World Government? Shouldnt this be listed under another category or make a new one like maybe U.S. Engagements? I do not appreciate the association of serving my country as an act of world government. -Sgt. The first resurrection described in Revelation 20:4-5 occurs at the end of the great tribulation when Satan is bound for 1,000 years. The reason the resurrection in Matthew 27 is not called the first resurrection is because those saints were not raised with their immortal bodies. They were raised like Lazarus, the widow of Nains son, and others. These all died again later. Those in the first resurrection will be raised immortal to enjoy eternal life.

I understand about Catholicism being a false religion, but is it possible for a Catholic to be a true Christian and practice his religion at the same time? I know some very fine Catholics, and they believe that being Catholic ensures their place in Heaven; I fear for their eternal destiny. Must they turn away from all practices of Catholicism? -V. I have not heard you comment on the sin of Sodom as described in Ezekiel 16:49-50. It seems that it was not homosexuality alone, but the arrogance and haughtiness with it. Your thoughts? Also, Ive been hearing it said that if God does not judge us for legitimizing sodomy, He owes Sodom an apology. But, the difference was He found not one righteous person other than Lot. U.S. part of the EU
I went to Israel about three years ago. When we went through customs in Athens, the gates were divided into those for travelers from EU nations and those for non-EU nations. Being patriotic Americans, our group began forming lines at vacant gates for non-EU nations. We were very promptly redirected to the gates for the travelers from EU member nations. I made a mental note and thought it was strange. It will be interesting to see if this happens again on my next trip. Could the U.S. actually be a secret member of the EU to be revealed
Resurrection in Matthew 27
Why is the resurrection mentioned in Matthew 27:51-53 never really discussed as the first resurrection? The first resurrection is mentioned in Rev. 20:4-5. If they are one and the same, then the idea behind Christs 1,000 years would be this current day and age until Armageddon occurs and ends the freedom for Satan to roam the earth by casting him into the lake of fire. -D. UN approves Palestinian sovereignty
In a vote of 140 to 6, the UN General Assembly adopted a non-binding resolution giving the Palestinians selfdetermination and sovereignty over the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and eastern Jerusalem. The resolution states that the Palestinians have the right to self-determination and to sovereignty over their territory, and that Israel, the occupying power, has only the duties and obligations of an occupying power under the Geneva and Hague conventions. It also mentions the General Assemblys determination to contribute to the achievement of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the attainment of a just and comprehensive negotiated peace settlement in the Middle East that will result in the establishment of two states. In an attempt to secure European support, the text of the resolution was revised, its language toned down just before the vote was taken. A statement that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of this territory (i.e., the West Bank, Gaza Strip and eastern Jerusalem), was deleted from the text, as were references to a Palestinian state based on the armistice line of 1949. Israels ambassador to the UN, Dan Gillerman said, This resolution

Berlin launches push for UN seat

Citing a window of opportunity, a German government ofcial said that this autumn Berlin would seek a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council. France, one of the ve permanent members of the Security Council, has backed Germanys
National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said the United States is bracing for possible terrorist attacks before the November presidential election, such as occurred in Spain on March 11th. Terrorists blew up four commuter trains in Madrid, killing 201 and injuring over 1,800, resulting in shifting the election to the anti-Iraq War candidate. The chance for terrorists to attempt to similarly inuence the U.S. election appears to be too good to pass up for them, Rice said.

Jose Maria Aznar, departing prime minister of Spain and a strong U.S. ally in the war in Iraq, says he has warned President Bush and other political leaders of the possibility. Recent U.S. intelligence reports indicate that al Qaeda is very active, is becoming more creative and continues to be a threat to U.S. security. On Friday, April 9, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security warned police in dozens of major cities to increase their vigilance at soft targets: landmarks, malls, subway stations or other large gathering places. Religious education is mandated in all state schools, but parents have the right to withdraw their children. The new framework is voluntary for all schools.
Bible as hate speech nears nal OK
In Britain, humanism, the ethics of wealth, and attitudes toward sexuality are to be taught alongside Christianity and other faiths in the rst national curriculum for religious education. All of Britains main religions were represented in the new curriculums planning. While the Church of England welcomed the curriculum, the Catholic Education Service voiced concerns that it would turn into a sociology of religions. Parental Alliance for Choice in Education spokesman Fred Naylor said Christianity was being betrayed. Naylor stated, Christianity is a fundamental part of our history and tradition, and yet it is being portrayed as no more important to schoolchildren in Britain than other world religions. The result is a multi-cultural mishmash. Canadas Senate passed (59-11) a controversial bill that will, according to free-speech advocates, criminalize public expression against homosexual behavior. The new legislation adds sexual orientation as a protected category in Canadas genocide and hatecrime laws. Violations can carry a penalty of up to ve years in prison. The law will take effect immediately after receiving Royal Assent from the Governor General, the Queens representative. The Canada Family Action Coalition believes the outcome will result in the Bible being deemed hate literature and notes recent court cases in which rulings have favored homosexual rights as opposed to those of religious believers. The bills sponsor, Svend Robinson, has said concerns that freedom of speech and religion will suffer are a mask for homophobia by people who dont want to be honest about the real reason they dont want to include sexual orientation in the law.

In Spain, the use of Cordobas cathedral as a mosque has gathered the attention of top Vatican ofcials who view the use of a Christian church as a mosque as problematic. Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, president of the Pontical Council for Interreligious Dialog said, If it is a Catholic chapel with the Blessed Sacrament inside, it should not be used for prayer services of another religious tradition. The Holy Father visited the Ummayade Mosque in Damascus, praying in front of the tomb of St. John the Baptist, but did not ask to celebrate mass in the mosque.
To remain competitive, super-markets are introducing new systems that will eventually eliminate the need for shoppers to carry wallets or credit cards. Using Pay by Touch systems and microchips embedded in each product will simplify shopping. Sensors will ring up goods, and a ngerprintreading device will be all that is needed for customers to access their accounts. The latest advance is a hand-held scanner, which stores say speeds up shopping. Called the Shopping Buddy, these devices will be installed in 20 Stop & Shop stores. After several successful pilot programs, Albertsons stores have decided to install a similar Shop n Scan system to its entire Dallas/Fort Worth market (104 stores). Todd Hultquist of the Food Marketing Institute, a trade association, says, Its not that far off, actually. Many Jews wondered if the Arabs would try to push them into the Mediterranean Sea. After the devastating American nuclear attack on Japan, the soldier leaders of the empire reevaluated their fight to the death position. Did the bomb give the Japanese permission to surrender and live? It obviously played a military, political and peacemaking role. The British had used chemical artillery shells against the Turks at the second battle of Gaza in 1917. They continued chemical shelling against the Shiites in Iraq in 1920 and used aerial chemicals in the 1920s and 1930s in Iraq. Many talented Jewish scientists immigrated to Palestine during the thirties and forties, in particular, Ernst David Bergmann who would become the director of the Israeli Atomic Energy Commission and the founder of Israels efforts to develop nuclear weapons. Bergmann, a close friend and advisor of Israels first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, counseled that nuclear energy could compensate for Israels poor natural resources and small pool of military manpower. As early as 1948, Israeli scientists actively explored the Negev Desert for uranium deposits on orders from the Israeli Ministry of Defense. By 1950, they found lowgrade deposits near Beersheba and Sidon and worked on a low power method of heavy water production. The newly created Weizmann Institute of Science actively supported nuclear research by 1949, with Dr. Bergmann heading the chemistry division. Promising students went overseas to study nuclear engineering and physics at Israeli government expense. Israel secretly founded its own Atomic Energy Commission in 1952 and placed it under the control of the Defense Ministry. The foun-

1948-1962: With French cooperation
In 1949, Francis Perrin, a member of the French Atomic Energy Commission, nuclear physicist, and friend of Dr. Bergmann invited Israeli scientists to the new French nuclear research facility at Saclay. A joint research effort was subsequently set up between the two nations. Perrin publicly stated in 1986 that French scientists working in America on the Manhattan Project and in Canada during World War II were told they could use their knowledge in France provided they kept it a secret. After the Second World War, Frances nuclear research capability was quite limited, and had fallen far behind the U.S., the U.S.S.R., the United Kingdom, and even Canada. In the 1950s and into the early 1960s, France and Israel had close relations in many areas. France was Israels principal arms supplier, and as instability spread through French colonies in North Africa, Israel provided valuable intelligence obtained from contacts with Sephardic Jews in those countries. The two nations collaborated with the United Kingdom in planning and staging the Suez Canal-Sinai operation against Egypt in October 1956. The Suez Crisis became the real genesis of Israels nuclear weapons production program. After Egypts President Nasser closed the Straits of Tiran in 1953, Israeli Prime Minister BenGurion ordered the development of chemical munitions and other unconventional munitions, including nuclear. Six weeks before the Suez Canal operation, Israel felt the time was right to approach France for assistance in building a nuclear reactor. Shimon Peres, the Director-General of the Defense Ministry and aide to Prime Minister (and Defense Minister) David Ben-Gurion, and Bergmann met with members of the CEA (Frances Atomic Energy Commission). During September 1956, they reached an initial understanding to provide a research reactor. The two countries concluded final agreements at a secret meeting outside Paris where they also finalized details of the Suez Canal operation. Chapter Two
After the birth of their son Michael, life settled back to normal for Boris and Svetlana Arachev. Living under the regime of Joseph Stalin was uncertain at best. However, their little farm in southern Russia, fifty miles south of the city of Volgograd, was quite far away from the political intrigue of Moscow. Young Michael was a joy to Boris and Svetlana, even though at times he could be quite a handful. He was a brilliant child of boundless energy, and it quickly became obvious to all around him that he was a born leader. Michael was eight years old when World War II broke out. That night after dinner, his dad and Grandpa Arachev sat around the dining room table for several hours pouring over the articles about Hitlers invasion of Poland and discussing the potential effects upon the Soviet Union. Though concerned about this development, there was a feeling that these events would never reach all the way down to Volgograd. Even at his young age, Michael sensed that something very important was transpiring; however, he didnt fully comprehend the ramifications of war at the time. In spite of the war, life didnt change much for the Arachevs until two years later when Hitler launched his invasion of the Soviet Union. By this time Michael was older and was able to somewhat understand the gravity of the new situation. He listened intently as his dad and mom, grandpa and grandma talked that evening. That double-crossing Hitler! Grandpa exclaimed. Signing a nonaggression pact with our leader Stalin and then launching a surprise attack against us. What treachery!
Is there a chance Hitlers troops could penetrate into the heartland and actually invade Volgograd? Boris asked his father apprehensively. Oh, I dont think so, came the confident reply from Grandpa Arachev. Comrade Stalin would never allow that to happen. But Germanys blitzkrieg attack has demolished every enemy in Hitlers way so far, Boris reminded his father. Ive never seen anything like it. Everything will be fine, Grandpa Arachev assured, attempting to allay the fears that he sensed were growing in each family member. Germany has yet to face the mighty Russian bear. We may not be the fastest army in the world, but we keep coming at you, day after day. The Germans advanced into Russian territory much more swiftly than the Russians had thought possible. When news reached Volgograd that the German forces were only 100 miles away, the tension and concern in the Arachev home was written on each of the adults faces. As much as Boris and Svetlana tried, they were not able to shield Michael from an awareness of the impending danger. At night, after young Michael had been sent off to bed, Grandpa and Grandma Arachev would sit around the kitchen table with Boris and Svetlana discussing the everincreasing seriousness of the military situation. What they didnt know was
that Michael would slip out of bed and listen intently to these late-night conversations through the keyhole of the door that joined the kitchen to the laundry room. As Michael listened one particular night, the discussion turned extraordinarily urgent. He heard his father say to Grandpa Arachev, The Germans could be here within three or four days. Dad, what do you think they will do to us? There was a long pause before Grandpa Arachev answered. Ive been reading the papers and listening carefully to the news. In most places where the Germans have invaded, they have not actually been slaughtering our people. They confiscate food and any guns that they find. But as long as individuals have not resisted, they have usually been left alone. So what should we be doing in preparation for the invasion? Svetlana asked anxiously. Grandpa Arachev explained, Its important that we protect our food supply. We will have to find a way to hide most of what we have and still leave enough in our houses so the Germans wont know that we have hidden our stockpile. What about our savings? Boris inquired. The same thing applies there, Grandpa Arachev replied confidently. We have to protect most of what we have while, at the same time, not arousing suspicion that there is

more. Then came the question that everyone was dreading to ask. Is there any danger that you and Boris might be taken away? Svetlana asked, trying, but failing to hide the fear that was in her voice. There was a very long pause before the reply came. Michael strained to catch every word. Finally, it was Boris that spoke, We want to believe that wont happen, but we have to be realistic. It appears that the Germans have been taking some of the men that are considered community leaders. Apparently, they want to prevent the organization of resistance to their occupation. Grandma Arachev turned to her husband, attempting to make her point courageously, So, since you are on the governing council for this province, you could well be targeted. It was more of a statement than a question. Grandpa Arachev replied matterof-factly, Im sure this is a possibility; however, well have to deal with that if and when the time comes. From his listening post in the laundry room, Michael tried to assimilate what he was hearing. It suddenly dawned on him how serious their situation really was. Michael could sense the strength of character in his mother, as she spoke bravely. We cant wait to see what might happen. We have to plan for all eventualities. How will we
deal with it if they do take Grandpa Arachev away? What if they take Boris as well? What will we need to do to hold things together until this horrible nightmare is over? The discussion continued late into the night. When Michael finally slipped into bed, sleep wouldnt come. The thought of his grandpa, and maybe his father, being hauled away by the Germans tortured his young mind. He was still tossing and turning when the light of dawn began to seep through his bedroom window. Michael would never forget the day the German armies swept through the province where their little farm was located. Most of the people stayed huddled in their houses hoping to be left alone. Every few minutes they would sneak a peek through the shutters to see what was happening outside. German jeeps, tanks and supply trucks could be seen moving steadily up and down the streets, supporting the front lines. On the third day of the occupation, Michael heard his dad say to his mother, I have to go see about my parents. I want to be sure they are all right. But Boris, Michael heard his Mother ask anxiously, what if the Germans take you away? I dont think they will, Boris replied reassuringly. They have a war to fight. It doesnt appear that they are looking for prisoners.
Michael waited all day long for his father to return with news about his grandpa. Michael loved his grandpa so much! What would he do if the Germans had taken him away? Michaels apprehension grew stronger and stronger as the day wore on. His father still had not returned by bedtime. Finally, his mother told him it was time to go to bed. No. Im staying up till Dad gets home, Michael protested. You cant do that, his Svetlana stated flatly. Your father might have to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa. We dont know what the situation might be with the Germans. Youll need your rest for tomorrow. Good night. Michael went to bed, but he didnt go to sleep. He couldnt. Finally, sometime after midnight, he dozed off. About one oclock in the morning, he heard the front door of their house open. Springing out of bed, he heard his fathers voice. The Germans have taken Dad into custody. I thought it would be best to bring Mother here until this whole thing blows over. Michael came bursting out of his room. Where is Grandpa Arachev? Where have they taken him? he screamed. The rage that Michael felt toward the Germans was so deep that he could not control it. Tell me, he demanded. Im going to go get him right now! Calm down, Michael, his Mother said, attempting to quiet him. Dont treat me like a baby! Michael cried. Thats my grandpa! Why do people have to fight wars anyway? Boris Arachev placed a hand on his sons shoulder. I dont blame you for the way you feel. Hes my father, and I am very angry. However, theres nothing we can do about it right now.

Im sure your grandpa will be home before very long. We will have to be patient. In the meantime, you and I have to take care of Grandma Arachev and your mother. Go back to bed. When Michael finally returned to his room, all he could think about was his grandpa in a German prison camp. His mind raced as he attempted to come to grips with his grandpas arrest. Grandpa hadnt done anything! It wasnt fair! There was no sleep for Michael that night. He walked back and forth in his roomhis mind racing. He would look out the window for a while, hoping that an answer might come to him as he stared into the night. He even tried praying to God. The teachers at school had told him that there was no God; however, he had wondered, If there is no God, why do they spend so much time trying to convince everyone that God doesnt exist? Around three oclock in the morning, Michael fell into a restless sleep. He saw visions of his grandpa in the German prison camp. He saw German troops marching, shouting, Sieg Heil! At 4 a.m., Michael awoke from his troubled dreams. Sitting straight up in bed, it was as though all the confusion had evaporated from his young mind. He could see what needed to be done as clear as crystal. War was insane! It should be outlaweddeclared illegal. Why did Germans have to fight Russians or French or British? They didnt! Why couldnt the world simply unitebecome one? If there were one global government and one economy, the root causes for conflict would be removed. Furthermore, if there were a global government, then there would only be one army. A single unified worldwide military
wouldnt fight with itself. Michael saw it so clearly! Sitting there in his bed, he said aloud, Its stupid smallminded nationalism that causes all the worlds conflicts. It suddenly seemed so simple. Michael knew in that instant that he would never rest until the world
Michael had not disclosed to anyone the feelings of destiny that had recently descended upon him. Now he wondered if his grandpa somehow knew about his special calling.
Chapter Three
Michaels teenage years passed swiftly. So many Russian men had been called-up by the military that teenage boys had to bear the burden of raising crops. Besides this, there was school. Michael loved school. He wanted to know and understand everything. His keen mind devoured history. Little by little, he formed his personal opinions as to why the world was the way it was and what should be done to fix it. Most of his friends were interested in typical youthful pursuits, but Michael couldnt get enough of politics and world affairs. His sense of destiny drove him like a raging inner hunger! When it came time for the study of the Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital, most of his classmates groaned; but Michael devoured these founding teachings of socialism like a sponge. He believed that a perfect world could be created through the principles taught by Karl Marx. He dreamed of the day when there would be a one-world socialistic government. And he knew that he was the one that would finally bring that dream to reality. Because of his high marks and his excellence in political subjects, Michael was accepted into Moscow University to study law. He knew if he were going to rule the world, he would need to understand the intricacies of law since it is laws that control human behavior. It was in college that his global plan began to take shape. Michael was so excited the day he entered his first semester political sci-

was revolutionized, placing mankind under the canopy of an all-encompassing world government. War would then be banished forever. There in the middle of the night, Michaels vision crystallized. He knew he was right, and before he was done, the world would know it too! He slipped off to sleep, knowing that the course of his life was set. He had stared destiny in the face, and he liked what he saw. Four months passed before any news arrived from Grandpa Arachev. The letter that came was somewhat reassuring. I am doing fine. Do not worry about me. I dont know yet when I will be able to come home, but it probably wont be for a while. It was the P.S. that riveted Michaels attention. Tell Michael that I love him. It will be up to him and his generation to find a new way to run the world so that we wont have these senseless wars anymore.

ence class. His professors name was Alexander Sobchak, and he proved to be a brilliant educator! Professor Sobchak opened the first class with a matter-of-fact statement. Ladies and gentlemen, it is inevitable that communism will ultimately rule the world. One of you in this class may end up ruling over a World Union of Socialist Republics. If that comes to pass, you must first understand one thing. There are three root causes of war in our world: political conflicts, economic conflicts and religious conflicts. If world peace is ever to be attained, there will have to be a one-world government, a oneworld economy and a global religious system. Sobchak continued, Now this may not be as difficult as it seems at first glance. Much of the preparatory work has already been done for this new global system. When the United Nations was established in 1945, it was specifically designed to be a socialist world government. Alger Hiss, who was appointed by Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill to write the UNs charter, built the structure for world government and a global economy into the document. However, he was unable to deal with the religious component since the worlds thinking is not yet sufficiently conditioned to adopt a global spirituality. Excitement surged through Michael as he absorbed what Professor Sobchak was explaining. Why, the foundation for my global government has already been laid! he exclaimed to himself. Any doubt that he was participating in the fulfillment of destiny was expelled from his mind. However, he noted that religious union was a critical issue that would have to be dealt with. Professor Sobchaks lecture continued as Michael sat enthralled. As all of you know, the Politburo is where
power resides in the Soviet Union. The UN Security Council is designed to be a global politburo. We have one critical obstacle to overcome. The United States was unwilling to place absolute power in the hands of the Security Council. In order to protect her sovereignty, she insisted on veto power over the Councils decisions. Before world government can be fully implemented, that veto power must be abolished. Michael raised his hand. Yes, Michael? Professor Sobchak said. Professor Sobchak, why do you assume that our side would win if the veto power were abolished? The capitalists are still in the majority, and the message of capitalism is still

These private conversations were a real eyeopener for Michael and re-enforced his conviction that the Marxist dream of one-world government could be achieved in his lifetime. One particular evening during one of their private encounters, Michael said to Professor Sobchak, From all I read and hear, sentiments of anti-communism are still very strong in the western world. The professor replied, Michael, you must understand something. The West is concerned about labels and slogans. We care nothing about those things. All we care about is the realization of our Marxist dreams. We will gradually convert the western world into a socialistic system while they continue to think that it is capitalism. We dont care what they call it as long as we accomplish our purpose. But how could that possibly be done? Michael asked, now quite intrigued. In fact, it is already being done, Sobchak replied. Michael interrupted, How can that possibly be true seeing that most of the world presently lives under capitalism? Theres something that you dont know, Michael. MITs Auto ID Center began working on RFID technology in 1999. Within three years they had perfected plans to build a global network capable of tracking every product on Earth. Their work attracted over 100 global corporate sponsors and two significant government sponsors: the Department of Defense (DOD) and the United States Postal Service. The Department of Defense is one of the worlds largest consumers of goods, using massive quantities of clothing,
uniforms, food, and toiletries every day. Because these items are shipped all over the world, last year the DOD asked its suppliers to start using RFID to help them keep better track of their inventory. Around the same time, Wal-Mart told its suppliers that they had to put RFID tags on crates and pallets containing products being shipped to their stores, as well. As the worlds largest and most powerful retailer, continued on page 22
understood the dangers of the private sector having access to a globally linked database of all consumer activity. Its why I formed CASPIAN, Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering, to fight it. My biggest concern, however, was what would happen if the government started using radio frequency (RFID) technology. RFID consists of tiny computer chips hooked up to miniature antennas that can be slipped into products to silently transmit data about them and the people who own them. This was the worst-case scenario, every Christians nightmare. The announcement came much sooner than I had ever expected: The Department of Defense is now organizing the U.S. governments RFID program. Will there be any place to run and hide?
Implementation of RFID tracking systems will span product movement from rail, to truck, to forklift, to warehouse, and nally, delivery to the retail store. This is the point in the delivery chain where RFID tracking will stop. In a few years, however, tracking will extend to the item level in retail stores. Wal-Mart sets the tone for the entire retail industry. Their decision to support RFID technology has reverberated throughout the manufacturing and retailing communities. The consequence is that those companies who choose not to use RFID may soon be unable to sell their products to the retail market. The domino effect of these two giantsone in government, the other in commercedemanding RFID compliance from their suppliers has been enormous. But the Department of Defense has taken it one step further. Not content to merely blaze a trail for others to follow, the DOD is actively creating an intra-governmental RFID Council to coordinate RFID plans. Their goal is to ensure that all departments of the federal government are using the same version of RFID technologyand that everyone gets on board.

companies who choose not to use RFID may soon be unable to sell their products to the retail market.
Uniform Code Council (UCC), which handles American bar codes, has teamed up with its European counterpart, EAN International, to create a global standard for RFID. They have developed something called the EPC or electronic product code, designed to replace the barcode, which some are hoping will be on every consumer product by the end of the decade. This global standard means seamless, worldwide integration of all product data; the type of inconsistency and incompatibility that emerged with VHS vs. Beta video formats, for example, will not be a problem. Theyve seen to that in advance this time.
Fully-coordinated government-wide RFID tracking
The Food and Drug Administration said that it supports and will encourage the use of RFID tags on prescription drug shipments to prevent counterfeiting and to facilitate the flow of products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that it wants all animals raised for food in the United States to be tagged with RFID and tracked in a federal database. The database would keep track of when theyre born, when they cross state lines, when they change ownership, when theyre slaughtered and a host of other details. Eventually, all branches of the Federal Government are expected to become involved in the numbering and tracking frenzy. Ed Coyle, chief of the DOD Logistics Automatic Identification Office (AIT), recently confirmed the plan, saying, Weve jointly decided

Currently the high price of RFID tags is perhaps the main reason we are not seeing them on socks, pens and pencils, light bulbs, and everything else we own. Once the cost decreases to a fraction of a penny per tag, however, this structural impediment will disappear. As the U.S.
government, Wal-Mart, and their suppliers gear up for widescale RFID implementation, millions of dollars worth of contracts are going to the manufacturers of RFID chips, antennas, tags and reader devices. This investment in infrastructure means bigger factories, better fabrication methods, large scale production runs, and other refinementsall of which are quickly lowering the cost of RFID technology and making its production more efficient. In sum, here are the makings for disaster: a standardized RFID format that can eventually record and track product data anywhere on the globe; widescale RFID adoption driven by both the worlds largest retailer and its most powerful government; cheap, ubiquitous tags; and a trend for government and corporations to share peoples personal data for security purposes. (Remember last year when Delta and Jet Blue airlines gave passenger records to the government to test an invasive passenger screening program? That was just the tip of the iceberg.) Of course, eventually all the commercial databases of the world will be linked with the worlds governing powers for use against those who follow the Bibles command to resist the global numbering and marking system. The pieces for that scenario are rapidly falling into place. A time is coming when every human being will have one cardor one chipused to open the door of their car, get into their ofce, turn on their computer, pay their bills, receive medical care, and buy their groceries. This one crucial device will be essential to performing the functions of modern life, and it will all hinge on one thinga computer chip and a number that every person will have in order to buy or sell. e Enter RFID.

And it went into effect on September 11, 2001. When the attacks occurred, President Bush was speaking at an elementary school in Florida. Upon receiving word, he was whisked away on Air Force One and, instead of returning to Washington, D.C., he was diverted to an undisclosed location. There were many who grumbled and criticized him for not returning to the nations capital. We now know why it was part of a prearranged plan. Speaking on ABCs Nightline, former counterterrorism ofcial Richard Clarke shared this insight: Every federal agency was ordered, on the morning of 9/11, to activate an alternative command post, an alternative

It was an interesting choice of words. You see, the Battle of Armageddon is described in several places in the Bible. In Revelation, its referred to in chapters 6, 16, 18 and 19. It is the 6th Seal, 7th Trumpet and 7th Vial. The 6th Seal describes it this way (Revelation 6:13-17): And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a g tree casteth her untimely gs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Chief captains and mighty men hid themselves in caves, indeed. The 6th Sealit sounds like the Armageddon Plan. The only remaining question is how did the U.S. government know to give it that name? On September 11th, Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld carried out a program designed two decades earlier, its objective being to restore some kind of order in what would be absolute chaos. For the chief captains and mighty men, the order that will rise from the ashes of chaos will be Gods order, not mans, for God has His e own Armageddon Plan.

But why? In order to understand the why, it is essential to know the context of the Bah religion. The official website of the Bah Faith states, We are Bahs members of the Bah Faith, the second most widespread of the worlds independent religions, established in 235 countries and territories throughout the world. We come from over 2,100 ethnic, racial, and tribal groups and number some 5 million worldwide. Its a relatively young faith, emanating from the teaching of its founder, Bahullh (1817-1892). Started in Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, and Muhammad are all equally authentic messengers of one God. Furthermore, each of these religious figures and their various messages are viewed as legitimate paths to salvation and are part of a larger plan to advance civilization. This idea of advancing civilization is integral to the Bah faith. According to their official website, the Bahs central theme is that humanity is one single race and that the day has come for its unification in one global society. This message of unification is clearly stated throughout Bah writings. One such text, Bah Teachings For The New World Order, released by the U.S. National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahs, lists some of their key principles, The oneness of mankind, Universal peace upheld by a world government, The common foundation of all religions, Universal compulsory educaion, and A spiritual solution to economic problems. John Ferraby, author of the Bah reference text All Things Made New, stakes some equally significant claims: The unity which exists among Bahs resembles, but is stronger than, that of the early Christians and the early Muslims; for the elements united are more diverse. We live in a peerless age when, for the first time in the history of the human race, mankind can be recognized as one. According to Bahullh, the Divine Its a radical statement, but there is a specific religious entity that is literally seeking to create a new world order both spiritually and politically. Granted, its a bold mandate, but this independent religion firmly believes that it has the capability to usher in such a system. Yet, as tightly woven as this group is within the United Nations, it has largely gone unnoticed by political commentators and researchers alike. In fact, if it hadnt been for my attendance at one particular UN event, I too would have completely overlooked this major player. In the spring of 2000, I had the opportunity of participating in the United Nations Millennium Forum. It was during this event that I realized I had been negligent in recognizing this important spiritual-political force, and the only reason that I noticed it was that this group was one of the most visibly active at the conference providing media and communications outreach, database management, and direct administrative support to the Forums Executive Committee. At first I thought it was rather odd that a relatively insignificant religious group would be so active at such an important event. I could understand why the Franciscans International, a Roman Catholic organization, would hold the key positions it did including having one of its members fill the role of Executive Secretary. Why is it, I asked my friend,
that the Jews have always gotten the daylights kicked out of them? Its been this way for over 2,000 years. For him I asked the unanswerable question. He is Jewish and grew up in New York during the reign of Hitler; a brilliant and successful man who has walked the halls of power in his lifetime. He has seen, felt and sensed hatred for the Jewish people, both open and subtle, and as of late has been deeply disturbed by the rise of worldwide anti-Semitism. It was a simple questionwhy the Jews? Yet, it was as though I had asked him to calculate pi to the last digit. Why? Its because he is an agnostic and cannot acknowledge anything in the spiritual realm. I... I dont know, he replied. Why the Jews? The only clear answer is spiritual. Bible. God. Unfortunately, some people wont allow themselves to go down this road, and so they may never understand. The honest ones say they dont know. Some write it off as coincidence. Some justify it by gravitating to the Grand Jewish Conspiracy To Take Over The World So Theyre Getting What They Deserve theory. The fact is, its spiritual and its prophetic. It was destined to be this way. We are living its fulfillment and the worst is yet to come.

Adolph Hitler took the concept to new heights, as he wrote in his book, Mein Kampf, .... the personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape of the Jew. Many people on earth today still embrace and act on this belief, as well as share Hitlers spiritual justification: I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.

The term anti-Semitism was coined in Germany in 1873 by Wilhelm Marr as a more respectable way of saying Judenhass or Jew-hatred. Strictly
Lets take a look at where antiSemitism is found in Bible prophecy. In Matthew 24, Jesus gives His disciples a sequential account of endtime events. It will be a time of great deception; many false Christs will arise; wars, earthquakes and religious persecutions. In verses 15-21, He describes the religious persecution in great detail. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea ee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the eld return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck

But pray ye that your ight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Notice where the persecution beginsJudea. Where is Judea? It is in a mountainous area that the world today calls the West Bank (Then let them which be in Judaea ee into the mountains). Who lives there? Jews. Religious Jews (But pray ye that your ight be not...on the sabbath day). The initial brunt of Satans wrath will be against religious Jews living in the West Bank. The Antichrists appetite for Jewish blood will be greater than what he will be able to obtain in this initial sweep. His frustration will cause him to redirect his fury to the Christians, the other monotheistic group he hates. Revelation 12, a parallel account to Matthew 24, provides the detail. Revelation 12 speaks of a woman, a symbol of Israel. To prove this, compare Revelation 12:1 with Genesis 37:9. The woman represents the Jews, the people who God chose to bring the message of monotheism to a dark, lost and pagan world. Satan goes after the woman, Israel, to kill her. But he is thwarted, as Israel is protected by an eagle for the duration of this 3 1/2 year time of great tribulation. His next step is to make war with the Christians. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars... And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads... And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man-child. And to the woman were given two wings of a

great eagle, that she might y into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (3 1/2 years), from the face of the serpent... And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Excerpts from Revelation 12:1-17.) The story is told from another perspective in Zechariah, chapters 1214. Zechariah 14:2 reads, For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses ried, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Its the world vs. the Jews, not unlike the way it appears to be shaping up today.
The resurgence of antiSemitism
WorldNetDaily carried a sobering article by Dennis Prager in April 2002, Is it 1938 Again for the Jews? This is the scariest time for Jews since the Holocaust, Prager stated. The Jews are being abandoned. Again. From the Jews perspective, the world can be divided into three groups those that hate the Jews and want them dead, those that ignore this hatred and aid the haters, and Americans. German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder recognized the disturbing resurgence of anti-Semitism worldwide, and especially in his home continent. He recently said, Hatred of Jews remains a serious danger to open and pluralistic societies... Historic responsibility for the Holocaust and common engagement against every form of anti-Semitism is a top priority and long-term task for the German government. Schroeder said that the international community
needed to take a more active role in efforts to combat anti-Semitism and other forms of racism. He warned that it was a big mistake to view antiSemitism as a fringe issue saying, It is a serious danger for the democratic rule of law and for the human dignity of every individual. The EUs European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) released a report in April showing a slight decline in European anti-Semitism, but an increase in hostility toward Israel. The EUMCs ndings that attacks on Jews were being carried out by young white men inuenced by extreme right ideas and that other perpetrators were young Muslims and people of North African origin differ from the rst study abandoned by the EUMC in December. That report stated that anti-Semitic incidents were committed above all either by right-wing extremists or radical or young Muslims, mostly of Arab descent. The EUMC found such statements to be inammatory. Beate Winkler, director of the EUMC, said Incidents [against Jews] range from grafti and vandalism through incitement on the street and hate speech on the Internet to serious physical assaults and arson. Referring to France, the report found a signicant rise in antiSemitic violent incidents and threats in 2002 ... six times more than in 2001. According to Gabriel Schoenfeld, senior editor of Commentary magazine, More synagogues have been destroyed in France in the past ve years by acts of desecration than were destroyed in the entire period of the Nazi occupation. The report also found that the rst three months of 2003 saw a 75 percent increase in incidents in Britain over the same period in 2002. In Germany, anti-Semitic acts increased by 69 percent from 1999 to 2000,
and incidents in the Netherlands and Belgium signicantly increased in 2002. The report added that there existed a popular anti-Semitism in everyday language including conspiracy theories of Jewish world domination. Responding to the report, leader of the European Jewish Congress, Serge Cwajgenbaum said, The authors should live in France for a week as a Jew with a skullcap and beard before drawing conclusions about antiSemitism.
Conclusion
Anti-Semitism didnt die with Hitler. It didnt start with Hitler. He merely perfected it. We should not be shocked to see the UN vote against Gods chosen nation time and time again. To the contrary, we should expect it. According to Jesus, the endgame starts in the West Bank. The settlers who live there today are far from being the darlings of world community, and this situation is prophesied to worsen. In his video documentary, Holy Land Christians in Peril, producer Pierre Rehov explains the little known Muslim credo, First Saturday, then Sunday. The goal is to kill the people who worship on Saturdays rst, then its open season on those who worship on Sunday. First kill the woman, then kill those who keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus. First the Jews, then the Christians. Why the Jews? Its scriptural. Why now? hen the number of people who wanted to tag along with Irvin Baxter to Israel, Greece and Turkey last month exceeded the capacity for one bus, the honor of being secondary tour leader fell on yours truly. While most will reminisce about our visits to the Wailing Wall, Temple Mount, Mt. Olives and Megiddo, my mind invariably wanders to the offbeat, for therein lies my peculiar joy. Packing for a trip like this can be simple or complicated. As for me and my house, we chose complicated. We started packing in earnest two weeks in advance. We left 90 minutes late. As a tour leader, I was clued in early that it was to be a rough go. One member asked me by phone the week prior, Are there any customs we need to follow while were over there? Yes, I responded. Always walk at least three paces behind your husband. But Im coming alone, she deadpanned in reply. Lesson learned: test the waters before attempting humor. Group rendezvous point: New Yorks JFK Airport. We traveled to United Nations headquarters on one big bus and one little bus. I led the little bus. Ah, the memories of my
childhood days in New York, riding the little bus to school. M a n y thanks to the gentleman who was kind enough to point that out. After the tour we were led into a private conference room where we were addressed by Itai, a member of Israels UN delegation. We got the full dosethe inside story of the worlds open hatred for the land we all loved. It was only Day 1 and we were already in awe, living history. Athens. Mars Hill, the Parthenon and the Acropolis. Greek culture lesson: On our way to the hotel, some lady illegally parked her car too close to a corner. A trolley bus couldnt navigate the turn leaving us all stuck for 20 minutes. Our driver, Demetris, a true modern day traffic cop hero, cleared the way. in the business district. Every other day, odd numbered license plates are allowed on the roads, while the other day only evens are permitted. The question from our crackerjack group of inquisitives: Would odd or even be determined by the last digit or the last two digits? Needless to say, our guide, Machi, was impressed with our thirst for knowledge. It was Ednas 25th trip to Israel, which called for a party. Gifts and speeches followed our tour of a kibbutz settlement, Gush Etzion. There, it was pointed out that for a quarter of a century, Edna has convinced thousands of friends to contribute money to plant trees in Israel. Shes 89 years old and I dare anyone to try to keep up with her. Ednas a pistol. We landed in Israel five days after the Israeli Defense Forces assassinated Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi in Gaza. Not so safe, said my father-in-law. Is Baghdad also on this itinerary of yours? What a worri-

er. Israel, a war zone? Hardly! Its far more dangerous on an L.A. freeway. Doubly so if Edna is driving. Least welcomed question from a tour member while attempting to get through customs in Israel: Eddie, have you seen my passport? It was unseasonably cool in Jerusalem that first day, so we headed for the lowlands, to the Qumran Caves, Dead Sea and the mountain fortress of Masada. The rebellion was started by Tim. As we approached Masada, Tim asked if he could hike up. A chorus of nos followed. But his idea had merit. Hike down, I thought. Research: It would take 30 minutes and require us to split off from the group a bit early. Who wants to join us? The rebels totaled a dozen. Hike down we did. Near the end, our fellow tour members beheld us in wonder and held us in higher regard. Well, actually they waved to us from the cable car above and mocked our misguided zeal. And that was okay. We knew who was having more fun. Dead Sea. Operating on the youonly-live-once principle, Mike and Tim dove in for all they were worth. Mike took a gulp. He lived. Curt snapped a photo of the Ein Gedi Spa from our moving bus at long distance on his ultra high megapixel digital camera. Zoom in. Zoom some more. And more. Could barely make it out. No clothes. Oops. Driving back to Jerusalem our guide pointed out Jericho to us in the distance. What are you looking at, Shira? Liz asked my 14-yearold daughter. Im looking for the walls of Jericho, she chirped. Oh, never mind. I just remembered. They already fell down. So proud a father
am I. So proud. Mount of Olives. A revelation. Arthur and I concluded that it is better to pray in the name of Yeshua, because your prayer will be heard
first. God doesnt have to spend all of that time translating the name Jesus back into Hebrew. While there we were addressed by the president of our tour agency, Gabriel. Yes, you read that correctly. We met with Gabriel on the Mount of Olives. Not thee Gabriel, but hey, this was our fantasy tour, not yours. As one of the tour leaders I want to make sure everyone understands my approach as group shepherd. Communication is key. Remember the parable of 100 sheep? One is lost and Jesus goes back for that one? All nod. Well, I wont be doing that. Driving through Jerusalem Ken asked, Whats the significance of the banner with the number 56 on that building over there? If a street is long enough, Yehuda, our tour
guide, replied, its bound to have a number that large. Later, we found out that it was Israeli Independence Day and it was the nations 56th anniversary. Yehuda knew wed eventually put two and two together. And we did. The sirens blared over the whole nation for two minutes that day. We were visiting the Temple Institute in the Old City at the time. Two minutes of silence. Me? I took the time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Quiz time, Arthur to Shira: Who was Israels George Washington? Ben-Gurion, she answered. Not bad for 14. She knows David BenGurion. Correct, said Arthur. And what was his first name? Um... Ben? Proud. So proud. Thats my kid. Yehuda sang for us. Richard dubbed him Yehuda Iglesias. Language barrier. Not with the Israelis, but with the group. When I say, Its time to go back to the bus, its translated in the minds of tour members as, Lets take some more photos and shop! Sign up sheet for baptisms in the Jordan River. Bro. Baxters bus had 12 names, mine only seven. As I lamented over the disparity Paul pointed out, There must be more sinners on the other bus. Indeed, I felt better. Jordan River trivia: The west bank is the land of milk and honey. The east bank is the land of oil and money. I once asked Bro. Baxter why he

prefers Jewish guides instead of Christian. He answered with mock astonishment, Because its Israel. We love Yehuda. Hes been guiding our tours for 11 years. He likes us, because we come prepared. Some Christian groups dont plan as well as ours. Yehuda relates, One group asked if I could do the baptisms. I said, baptisms, no. Circumcisions, yes. I am told that they declined the offer. The management at Yardenit, the place where we do Jordan River baptisms, told Yehuda recently that they hadnt seen a baptism service like ours in years. An enthusiastic bunch we are. Our bus drivers were Yasser and Nasser. Yes sir, no sir. Whatever. All I know is that I hope we get them again. Great guys. One of the last things we did in Israel was visit Megiddo. We felt in good company when it was pointed out that visiting Megiddo will be one of the last things the Antichrist will do when he visits Israel. It was my prized souvenir from Ephesus in Turkey. I asked our vivacious tour guide on Patmos, Elena, to expound on the UNs role and involvement on the island. We can do anything we want... as long as they say we can do it. Talk about a spiritual experience: She went as Liz Ingram. She came back as Liz Ingraham. The plan for next year, under devel-
opment as we speak, is to tack Rome, Florence and Venice onto the back end of Israel. And to add more sleep into the schedule. As of right now theres room for you to share my gondola ride, planned, by the way, for sunset in Venice on Day 12. Afraid to go to Israel? News for you: It is plainly obvious that God is not done with Irvin Baxter. The safest place to be on Planet Earth is on a plane, in Israel, or anywhere for that matter, with Irvin Baxter. Reminds me of a Dennis Miller observation: Im flying on a plane to Charlottesville, Virginia, he said, surrounded by 100 kids from Falwells Liberty University. It suddenly dawns on me that Im the only one who cares whether or not the plane goes down. Theyre going to a better place, Im going into the side of a mountain.
