ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARDS
Above and beyond awards – these elegantly christened and poetically sounding annual awards have been instituted
from the academic year 2007-2008. The patrons of these awards are two of our distinguished alumni – Mr.V.Arumugam,
1991 batch alumnus and Mr.V.Muthukumar, 1994 batch alumnus. Interestingly, both of them are siblings. It is the
privilege of the department and the institute to place on record a great deal of appreciations and thanks to both these
foresighted alumni for their philanthropic contribution born out of their venerable vision towards creating tomorrow’s
technology leaders. The awards are bestowed on top two sophomore year and two pre-final year academic performers.
Awards are thoughtfully designed to be given in the form of cash towards facilitating the educational endeavors of the
recipients. Each of the two first rank holders will be given a cash prize of Rs.10000/- while the two second rank holders
will receive Rs.5000/- each. It is the infallible conviction of the patrons that the awardees possess the passion and
potential to look above and beyond the contemporary horizons of technology and emerge as tomorrow’s technological
innovators in the frontier areas. We believe and hope these awards would sensitive the awardees and their high caliber
peers towards their holistic commitment as technocrats to the society at large. We exhort the competitive students of
this reputable department to invest the best of their efforts and skills towards securing these most coveted “Above and
Beyond Awards” in the years ahead.
Interested students can enroll themselves. The application forms will be available with the class representatives.
