THE DIETARY LAW

The God of the Bible, Jesus Christ gave Man a dietary law that is to last
throughout all generations. So many people who profess to be Christians say that
the dietary law is done away with. They say that when Jesus was crucified that
that ended the laws in the Old Testament. What we will do, is show you that God's
Dietary Law is still good.

MAN'S FIRST DIET

(Adam and Eve ate only herb bearing seed and the fruit of the trees, they did not
eat flesh.)

Genesis 1:29-31

29. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon
the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree
yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every
thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green
herb for meat: and it was so.
31. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And
the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
MAN'S SECOND DIET

Genesis 6:14-22

14. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt
pitch it within and without with pitch.
15. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark
shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it
thirty cubits.
16. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it
above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower,
second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy
all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that
is in the earth shall die.
18. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark,
thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring
into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping
thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep
them alive.
21. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to
thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

MAN'S DIET AFTER THE FLOOD

(After the Flood, the truce between Man and Beast was broken,
Man became meat eaters and so did the beasts of the field.)

Genesis 7:1-9

1. And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee
have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his
female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive
upon the face of all the earth.
4. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and
forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off
the face of the earth.
5. And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6. And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him,
into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every
thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9. There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as
God had commanded Noah.

Genesis 9:1-7

1. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth.
2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the
earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and
upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb
have I given you all things.
4. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast
will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will
I require the life of man.
6. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of
God made he man.
7. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and
multiply therein.

PUTTING A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOLY AND UNHOLY,

AND BETWEEN UNCLEAN AND CLEAN.

Leviticus 10:8-11

8. And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying,

9. Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go
into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for
ever throughout your generations:
10. And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean
and clean;
11. And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord
hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

Leviticus 11:1-47

Unclean Beasts (May not be eaten)

Clean Beasts (May be eaten)

Leviticus 20:25-26

25. Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and
between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by
beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground,
which I have separated from you as unclean.
26. And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you
from other people, that ye should be mine.

Deuteronomy 14:3-21

3. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4. These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5. The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the
pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6. And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws,
and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7. Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that
divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew
the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8. And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is
unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9. These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales
shall ye eat:
10. And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto
you.
11. Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12. But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage,
and the ospray,
13. And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14. And every raven after his kind,
15. And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16. The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17. And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18. And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19. And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be
eaten.
20. But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21. Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto
the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto
an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe
a kid in his mother's milk.

Judges 13:1-4

1. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the
Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2. And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name
was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
3. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold
now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
4. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat
not any unclean thing:

Ezekiel 4:9-14

9. Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and
millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof,
according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three
hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
10. And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day:
from time to time shalt thou eat it.
11. Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to
time shalt thou drink.
12. And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that
cometh out of man, in their sight.
13. And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled
bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
14. Then said I, Ah Lord God! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my
youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn
in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

Daniel 1:8-16

8. But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the
portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he
requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
9. Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the
eunuchs.
10. And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who
hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse
liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my
head to the king.
11. Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over
Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
12. Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to
eat, and water to drink.
13. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of
the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal
with thy servants.
14. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
15. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in
flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.
16. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should
drink; and gave them pulse.

*Pulse meaning vegetables; A dish of meal and legumes. It was eaten by Daniel and
his companions who were determined to abide by the dietary law.

**Most People will use the following verses to kill the dietary law. But, when you
read the whole
chapter, you see that Peter's trance was not about meat, it was about Man. We
should not call any man common or unclean.

Acts 10:9-14, 28

9. On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city,
Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10. And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he
fell into a trance,
11. And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had
been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12. Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts,
and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common
or unclean.

28. And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that
is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed
me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Still not convinced? OK, everyone has heard about the second coming of
Jesus Christ, what do you think he will do to all those who continue to break his
dietary law and eat abominable things? Let's See!

Isaiah 65:1-6

1. I Am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me
not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh
in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3. A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in
gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
4. Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's
flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5. Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou.
These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
6. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense,
even recompense into their bosom,

Isaiah 66:15-18

15. For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a
whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain
of the Lord shall be many.
17. * They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind
one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse,
shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.
18. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather
all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

*The one tree in the midst is Satan, the devil. Remember in the Garden of
Eden there was the Tree of Life (Jesus) and the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil (the serpent, also called Satan).

When Jesus was crucified, he put an end to the animal sacrifice law, not the Royal
Law (The Ten Commandments). We no longer sacrifice animals for our sins. Jesus
was the last sacrifice. If we fall back into sin once we have been cleansed by his
blood there remaineth no more sacrifices for sins. We will die for ourselves.

Hebrews 10:26-31

26. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which
shall devour the adversaries.
28. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath
trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit
of grace?
30. For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
