Estcio and Contax sign strategic partnership for corporate training
Estcio Participaes S.A. (Estcio or Company - Bovespa: ESTC3) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that it signed a strategic partnership with the Contax Group. Estcio shall be responsible for the training of 4,000 employees of Contax, which is a leader in customer relationship management in the country. The contract totals around R$30 million and will extend until 2017. The employees of the Contax Group shall have subsidies between 70% and 90% in their tuitions for the following undergraduate courses: Marketing, Commercial Management and Managerial Processes, divided in 56 classes distributed among the cities of So Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Niteri, Campinas, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Londrina, Joinville and Salvador. The employees will be admitted to the undergraduate programs through the same process as other regular candidates. The initiative strengthens Programa Crescer, a program sponsored and planned by Contax aimed at creating internal leaders through a quality higher education course, recognizing and valuing professions, as well as promoting access to education among the companys employees. The Contax Group is not only a leader in relationship management. We are recognized as a company with a first employment culture. These are young people starting their lives in the corporate world and encouraging them to improve themselves by investing in training is one of the best strategies to sustainably grow our workforce training, says the Human Resources Director of the Contax Group, Maurcio Igncio. The Director also says that there are other ongoing initiatives which strengthen the partnership, as the development of middle management leadership, supervisors and coordinators, besides the recruiting and selection of Estcios students to fill open positions at Contax. Another highlight is facilities optimization with the sharing of Estcios classrooms to trainings of the Contax Group. A year ago Estcio created a new business unit the Continuing Education Office focused on heavily investing in this segment. This is the largest corporate education project signed by the Company so far. Estcios University Centers in So Paulo and Salvador recover their autonomy

Estcio also informs the Ministry of Education (MEC) announced through the Official Gazette, on December 30, 2013, the dismissal of the administrative process and the restrictions imposed to Centro Universitrio Estcio Radial de So Paulo (Estcio Radial) and to Centro Universitrio Estcio da Bahia (Estcio FIB), following the satisfactory results obtained in the General Course Index (IGC) for the year 2012. Estcio celebrates the recovery of University Center autonomy for these institutions, which will allow the Company to open new courses and seats in the cities of So Paulo and Salvador.
