1. Conduct a tensile test on a mild steel specimen and determine the following (i) Limit of proportionality (ii) Elastic limit (iii) Yield strength (iv) Ultimate strength (v) Youngs modulus of elasticity (vi) Percentage elongation (100)

2. Find the hardness of the given metal specimen by conducting BHN test (100)

3. Conduct tension test on mild steel specimen and determine the yield stress, ultimate stress, actual, normal breaking stress and deformation of the specimen in %. (100)

4. Draw the stress strain curve for a given mild steel specimen and determine the yield stress, ultimate stress, actual, normal breaking stress and deformation of the specimen in %. (100)

5. Conduct tension test on mild steel specimen and draw the stress strain curve and mark the salient points (100)

6. Conduct tensile test on the given closed coil helical spring and determine the shear stress, rigidity modulus and strain energy stored in the specimen. (100)

7. Find the impact strength of given steel specimen by (Izod test and Charpy test) (100)

8. Find the hardness no. of thin metal sheet by appropriate method.

15. Conduct compression test on the given helical spring and determine the shear stress, rigidity modulus and strain energy stored in the specimen. (100)

16. Determine the shear stress, rigidity modulus and strain energy stored in the given closed coil helical spring. (100)

17. Find the modulus of rigidity by conducting torsion test on mild steel or cast iron specimen. (100)

19. Conduct torsion test on mild steel specimen and determine the Shear strength and modulus of rigidity (100)
