Revenue Budget for the year 2006-07 (RE) and Budget Estimate 2007-08 is due to submission by end of August06 to the Corporate Office. We would request all concerned to redirect their attention to reduce operating cost expenses of AOD in the coming years significantly. Endeavour should be there to perform in better way with lesser resources and attain the Stretched Targets of Refinery & Marketing functions. As you all aware that AOD (majority of Marketing locations) is now under SAP and SAP system does not allow us to spend more than what is budgeted and approved for. Therefore, Revenue Budge (Operating Cost particularly) should be made meticulously along with the analysis and justifications in case of increased in the expenditure in each Head of Expenses. View above, you are requested to undertake the budgeting exercise with rigid cost benefit analysis on each activity before they are incorporated in the budget. Departments are requested to budget for only controllable costs. Fixed nature of expenses will be budgeted for by the Finance department as usual unless there are some extraneous nature of expenditure specific the period under budgeting. Contd

The exercise should be completed as per following schedule: 1. Departments to submit detailed proposal to their respective Functional Heads by 15.07.2006. 2. Functional Heads to arrange for detailed discussions with respective HODs and ensure submission formally to finance - 24.07.2006. 3. Detailed Budget discussion in the presence of ED/Functional heads with HODs- 28.07.2006. (Tentative) 4. Reprocessing /changes in detailed budget - 05.08.2006. 5. Finalisation and submission to Refineries HQ and Corporate Office - 16.08.2006. Kindly make all out efforts to adhere strictly to above target dates.
