EXISTING SYSTEM

The Library currently is using a manual system. Manual in the sense that the system is not at all automated. This library is well equipped library consisting of good collection of books like MBA,MCA courses, novels, poem, periodics & many more . This library is having comfortable reading hall facility. This Library is having all types of newspapers. Home reading facilities are also available in this library.

1.3 Problems in Existing System


The Problems in Existing are usually as follows The present staff is whole and soul of LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and Always need to be present. Since the records of each module are long every time updation is required. Because of this the checking process progresses slowly. It does not prompt the user about wrong information going in system The proposed system tries to eliminate the problems and limitations of such existing system

PROPOSED SYSTEM
The Proposed system uses Visual Basic 6.0 as front end & Microsoft Access as the back end that provides user interface. It is user friendly compared to the previous system . It is for user to the accesss the system . The user with no knowledge of Visual Basic can also access the system.

Operational Feasibility:

The new system will overcome the problems faced by existing system and make it user friendly. With the required training, the users will find the system easier to operate. The system cuts down the time delay of the existing system.
