Connecting the AX 180 to the PlayStation 3

Connect the removable, flexible microphone into the AX 180: A Insert the microphone into the headset by lining up the small dot on the microphone with the small dot on the headset. B Firmly press the microphone into place. C Rotate the microphone in a clockwise direction 180 degrees.

Game Vol

Connect the headsets cable into the In-line Audio Controllers breakaway connection.

Set the audio source on the In-line Audio Controller to PS3.

Connect the green 3.5mm jack from the In-line Audio Controller into the green port on the RCA Connection Cable. Based upon how your PS3 console connects to your TV, there are two methods of connecting the headsets RCA Connection Cable to the PS3: HDMI and non-HDMI. Please follow the procedure that matches your current setup.

PS3 Rear

HDMI SETUP Connect your Console AV Cable to the PlayStation 3. Plug the Console AV Cable audio connections into the headsets RCA Connection Cable. It is not required to connect the Console AV Cable to your TV with an HDMI setup.

PS3 Front

Game Vol

Connect the USB Cable from the In-line Audio Controller to a USB port on the console.

Audio Output Settings

Select the connector on the TV or AV amplifier (receiver) HDMI Optical Digital Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI

Turn on the power of the connected device.

O Cancel

Within the PlayStation 3 XcrossMediaBar (XMB) menu, go to Settings > Sound Settings > Audio Output Settings and change the audio output toAudio Input Connector/SCART/AV Multi.

Within the PlayStation 3 XMB menu, go to Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings and set both the input and output to: TRITTON AX 180 Headset or C-Media USB. NOTE: The PS3 will recognize the headset as one of these two titles, dependent upon the model you have. You can see a visual confirmation that the microphone is functioning if the bar graph moves.

NON-HDMI SETUP Connect the RCA Connection Cable to your Console AV Cable audio connections. Connect the RCA Connection Cable into the audio inputs on your TV.
