New Partnership Checklist


This checklist will help you review GPCSs policies before applying for a Organization at GPCS. If beginning a Organization under the supervision of a registered PDO (Philanthropic Development Officer), it must be completed and initialed by both the PDO and the Organization director, and submitted to GPCS, along with the new Organization application.

Once accepted, your Organization becomes a project of the Global Peace Commerce Solutions. A new corporation is not formed by this union. As a project of GPCS, you will not have to file any state or federal reports for your Organization per transactions, nor do you register your Organization with any agency. GPCS does business in all 50 states. The Partnership will process nonprofit tax-exempt status collectively under GPCS. Partnership will be known legally as a Global Peace Commerce Solutions Partnership. You must state this relationship on all literature applicable. You are responsible for the raising of funds for your Organization. For it to be considered a tax-deductible donation, you must send all donations to the GPCS for deposit into your Organization account. You may not open any separate bank accounts or merchant accounts in the name of GPCS or your Organization at GPCS, We will handle all donations. Your Organization is not exempt from paying state sales tax when purchasing items to be used by your Organization. If your Organization would like to mail Organization-related material at a nonprofit bulk rate, please contact GPCS for the forms. You may not incur any debt whatsoever in the name of GPCS. This includes putting the name of GPCS or your Organization at GPCS on any leases, credit cards, telephone or utility bills, loans, etc. By having a Organization at GPCS, you are not automatically considered to be an employee, director or agent of the GPCS. If there are no funds in your Organization account with GPCS, no disbursements may be made. You have the ability to make recommendations to the GPCS as to where the funds in your Organization account are to be sent, but the GPCS has final authorization. GPCS will send charitable receipts directly to those who donate $250 or more. For those who donate less than that, they may use their cancelled check as proof of donation. You should, of course, keep a list of all your donors and thank them personally on your Organization letterhead sent to you by the GPCS. Please keep GPCS informed of all the activities in which your Organization is involved. We have staff ready to assist you with fundraising ideas, grant proposal editing, and marketing material creation. Send us a copy of all your Organization literature to keep our files up-to-date.
