Allen Bradley- two memory structure -rack based system -tag based system Memory space can be divided

into broad categories -Program files-are the part of processes or memory -stores the user ladder logic program. Data files- store the information such as the stores of input and output devices, timer and counter values data storage. Data table can be divided into categories Status data and number or codes Status-is on /off types of information respected by 1s and 0s stored in unique bit location Number or code information is respected by grouped by grouped of bit that are stored in unique by or works location. System function(file 0)-this file is always included and contain various system related information and user programmed information, such as processor file name, and password Reserved file(file1)-this file reserves by processor and is not accessible to user. Main ladder program (file2)-this is always included and contains user programmed instructions that define how the controller is to operate. Subroutine ladder program(file 3-255)- these files are user-created and are activated according to subroutine instructions residing in the main ladder program file. Data files- the data file portion of the processors memory stores input and putout status, processor, the status of various bits, and numerical data. Output (file 0)- this files stores the state of the output terminals for the controller Input (files 1) this file stores the status of the input terminals for the controller for the controller. Status (files 2) this files stores controller operation information and is useful for troubleshooting controller and program operation Bit (file 3)-this file is used for internal relay logic storage. Timer (file 4)- this file stores the timer accumulated and preset values and status bits.

Counter (file 5)- this file the counter accumulated and preset values and status bits. Control (file 6)- this files stores the length, pointer position, and status bit for specific instruction such as shift register and sequencers. Integer (file 7)- this file is used to store numerical values or bit information. Reserved (file 8)- this files is not accessible to the user. Network communication (file 9)- this file is used for network communication if installed or used like files 10-255. User defined (files 10-255)- these files are used defined as bit, timer, counter, control, and/or integer data storage The status data file contains information about the processor status -the address S:015 address word 15 of the status file -the address S:127/09 addresses bit 9 in word 17 of the status file The bit data file stores bit status.
