Analysis: Mrs. Pernez is an Assistant Manager in a spa at Singapore and she said that before she became an Assistant Manager, she started also as a service worker there, doing the facial treatment to customers. She did her best and try not to do anything wrong to achieve what she is right now. As an Assistant Manager, she said that she managed to take time on looking and observing their customers and employees to guide them and do what the customer wants. She always had an interaction to their customers and employees. To achieve her position now, she stayed on her feet and never act like that she knows everything. She said that as a leader, you dont have to act that you know everything, stay humble and nice to every person you interact with and try to balance every situation you are facing.

General Analysis: Being an effective leader/manager, you have to know your strength and weaknesses to achieve easily your goal. You should also know the perceptions of other people towards you, and for better communication and observing the behavior. You should also be able to respond to the needs of your team.

According to my interviewees, they always mention that you need to have patience and enough temper specially to some situations. Sometimes being selfcentered is good to achieve and focus to your own goals.
