When General Thunderbolt Ross brought together the team of loners that make up the Thunderbolts, he did it with a simple promise. If they help him do what he needs to, he would help them accomplish something they never could on their own. The team has taken on a one for me, one for you pattern with Ross, taking turns setting the teams sights on their personal missions between Rosss outings. Their last mission being the Punishers, taking out a notoriously elusive mob family, its Rosss turn at the helm again. Problem is, the team may be causing as many problems as it solves. The Leader, repowered by Ross to help the team, has been acting unstable. Even worse, the mysterious woman known as Mercy has proven nearly uncontrollable in her thirst for bringing death. With their base/submarine destroyed, Ross set them off on a road trip, promising their next mission awaited.
