POSITION TITLE FACULTY/INSTITUTE/DIVISION SCHOOL/SECTION CAMPUS CLASSIFICATION DATE POSITION SUMMARY Effective and embedded clinical redesign is essential to the ongoing sustainability, safety and quality of health care delivery in Tasmania. The Clinical Redesign Program is a Commonwealth-funded program based in the University of Tasmania which will function as a central, dedicated evidence-based facility, supporting redesign projects within a research framework in partnership with the health service, providers, clinicians and the community. The Program will position the Tasmanian health system to meet current and future demands. Similarly, the virtual Tasmanian Academic Health Science Precinct (vTAHSP) is a related $1 million pilot program that will function to translate medical research expertise into health advancements within the Tasmanian health system and facilitate the development and support of the workforce required for health service improvement and innovation in Tasmania. The Web Officer will assist with the coordination of the portfolio of CRP and vTAHSP projects implemented in Tasmania. The role will have responsibility for the development and day-to-day management of a digital environment and interactive network site that supports evidence-based projects. POSITION RELATIONSHIPS Supervisor Direct reports Other Program Leader, Clinical Redesign Casual staff, as required. The incumbent is expected to establish and maintain high quality working relationships with: Director, Clinical Redesign Program Program Leader, Clinical Redesign and other members of the CRP Project Office Team Head, School of Medicine Representatives of organisations partnering or collaborating with the Clinical Redesign Program and vTAHSP, including government departments and Tasmanian Health Organisations University Information Technology and Services managers and staff Web development staff of the School of Medicine Staff of the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Science and

broader University of Tasmania community.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTCOMES Ensure the effectiveness of CRP and vTAHSP project websites through accurate and innovative content management and web development. This will involve the development of a systemic approach to the organisation of project and research material for the web, ensuring the coherency and currency of published content, and employing information architecture principles to design appropriate information flowcharts and web sitemaps. Liaise effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including clinical, research, technical, administrative, and marketing staff to develop innovative delivery strategies to ensure information is presented in an accessible, engaging and aesthetic manner, complying with the latest usability requirements and relevant policies and legislation. Use a variety of techniques to ensure that CRP and vTAHSP websites are search engine optimised, including collaborating with other projects and organisations to develop reciprocal links. Write web content for a public audience, using multimedia elements, and responding to diverse learning and communication styles. Analyse and create monthly activity reports on CRP and vTAHSP websites. Be responsible for CRP and vTAHSP online presence, including creating and checking content on other websites and actively seeking new opportunities. Analyse, design, and develop database systems for the management of project and research data catering to a high volume of users with various requirements producing accurate documentation such as requirements specifications, process flow-charts, entity-relationship diagrams, wireframes and data dictionaries. Collaborate with researchers, administrators and marketing staff to maintain project and research database systems in response to changing requirements, and with assisting researchers in interrogating data. Assist with the maintenance of project stakeholder databases, ensuring that national and international stakeholder contact details are kept up-to-date and that project web communications and mail-outs occur smoothly and professionally. Present information to various audiences for the purposes of project communications and education / training sessions.

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY/LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY The Web Officer operates under the general direction of the Program Leader. Decisions are to be made within the scope of established policies, procedures and guidelines. POSITION CRITERIA Essential Requirements 1. A degree level qualification and relevant experience and expertise; or equivalent

combination of relevant experience and / or education / training. 2. Demonstrated experience in the design, development and implementation of effective websites and database systems. 3. High level proficiency in a range of software packages. 4. A solid understanding of web marketing and experience in the development and implementation of marketing strategies. 5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, with proven ability to establish good working relations with a diverse range of people and interdisciplinary teams. 6. Demonstrated high level written communication skills, with the ability to use language fitting for the purpose and audience in correspondence, in writing for the web, and in producing technical documentation. 7. Demonstrated high-level oral communication skills, with the ability to structure, engage and present information to various audiences in presentations and training. 8. Proven organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. 9. Demonstrated ability to act independently using initiative, judgement, and discretion when required, as well as capacity to work effectively as a member of a team. 10. Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of duties. Desirable Attributes 11. Knowledge of the online resources and content management systems of the University of Tasmania.
