Sheldon Lee Glashow (5 de diciembre, de 1932) es un fsico estadounidense. Fue profesor del departamento de fsica de la Universidad de Harvard y despus en la Universidad de Boston. Junto con Steven Weinberg y Abdus Salam, desarrollaron la teora electrodbil, por la que ganaron el Premio Nobel de Fsica en 1979. Glashow es un notable escptico de la teora de supercuerdas debido a su falta de predicciones mediante experimentos verificables. Su abandono de Harvard ha sido relacionado con el apoyo del departamento de fsica de la universidad a la teora de cuerdas. Antes de esto hizo campaa para expulsar a los tericos de cuerdas fuera de Harvard.
