Sensex up by 1.22%@21289.49pts,Nifty up by 1.27%@6320.90pts resp. European indices FTSE, DAX & CAC were up by 0.39% to 1.08% resp. NASDAQ was up by 1.69%, Dow Jones Ind. Avg. was up by 0.71% resp. Sensex up by 256.61 pts @ 21289.49 pts & Nifty up by 79.05 pts @ 6320.90 pts The BSE Sensex rallied on Wednesday to mark its highest close in five weeks as ratesensitive stocks such as ICICI Bank rose after data showing sharply easing inflation reinforced expectations the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will keep interest rates on hold.
