The GPRS Ar"hite"ture is an e%tension of the GSM ar"hite"tures. ;ne of the ain goa#s in the GPRS design is to su!!ort (urst$ data transfer. A#though GPRS is "onsidered to (e !art of the GSM ser)i"e' it has its own "ore network and radio network' whi"h is shared (etween the GPRS and GSM "ores.
