LCDisplayer Plugin for Winamp Copyright (c) 1998-2004 by Mike Lynch By using LCDisplayer you agree you have

read and understand the Legal Notes and will abide by them. (see the end of this file) Description: Output information to an LCD (or VFD) panel connected to a parallel port. All information from an ID3 tag can be displayed, But that's not all, lots more stuff can be displayed! See LCDisplayer INI Guide for more detail on what information can be displayed and how to configure the display. Installation: 1. Run installer package, which you must have done if you are reading this. Usage & Troubleshooting: The DLL (vis_LCDisp.dll) and the INI file (must be named vis_LCDisp.ini) will be in the Winamp Plugins directory. Go to the Visualization Plug-in setup (CTRL-K) in Winamp and select LCDisplayer (vis_lcdisp.dll) and select a Module. Modules: Window (LCD Simulation) - Displays a small window simulating an LCD panel LCD Panel - Output to an HD44780 panel (see LCDisplayer Connection.txt) Futaba VFD Panel - Output to a Futaba VFD panel (LCDisplayer Connection.txt) Requirements: You must have Winamp v2.05 or later. Recomended that you have an ECP parallel port if using an HD44780 display so the plug-in can use the PS/2 style Bi-Directional mode for the fastest and most reliable output. Futaba VFD modules should work fine with any standard parallel port, though I don't own one so I haven't tested the Futaba VFD output in a long while. It should still work though. The plugin will only run on Windows 98 (and probably 95), meaning I've only tested it running on Windows 98. ******************************************************** The panel outputs WILL NOT WORK FOR WINDOWS NT & 2000 because direct access to the parallel port is blocked. ******************************************************** While the plugin been tested with 40x4 Futaba VFD, sizes (though it Legal Notes: should work with a display of any size, it has only 20x4 and 40x4 (columns x lines) LCD displays and a so no guarantee that it will work with displays of different should).
