Files

For the student is critical to know how read and write properly, in the same way, the good performance of students in other languages has a large percentage in reading and writing. In these files we can see a simple way to start reading and writing, performing different types of paragraphs. I will appoint each file and explain the best and hardest of each. FILE 1: WRITING AS A PROCESS I learned in this file how is the process implicit when I am writing, how to establish ideas, set a purpose at the moment of writing; organization of ideas, also, how to use some techniques here given. Thus, I learned that writing depend of the audience and to know the different process in writing. In the same order of ideas, this file shows us how we can find the structure of the writing and how to gather information. It tells us that we can write and rewrite as many times as necessary until we're satisfied with what we write. Moreover, this file answered my questions about how start to writing when I have not write before and how to be more organized when we write. FILE 2: PREWRITING I learned to use strategies to writing well, using the different steps in the writing process. We can see in this files some examples and exercises. Also, we learned how to focuses on choose a subject, selecting purpose and audience. Likewise, how to decide the most effective strategies for collecting details, and put in a sheet of paper with a clear sense. However, I had some difficult as find what kind of words I should use. FILE 3: STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OF WRITING (I) The objective of this file is how to write effectively. Also, this exercises using tools of writing. In this file I learned to use properly languages and express ideas in an organized way. However, I think that I need more information about how to use it.

FILE 4: STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OF WRITING (II) In this file we have known about paragraph, unity and coherence. I learned how make connections between sentences, to make a paragraph following a pattern. Also, it tells us a brief explanation about the types of paragraph. In this one for me was a little difficult to pick an abstract word and describe it, because I was confused when I have to adapt a good information in a choose word. FILE 5: STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS OF WRITING (III) In this file we can use the information that we gathered to develop the idea in a coherent way. As the other files 3, 4 and 5 are very interesting because shows us how to use assertively the creation of a paragraph. Beside, how long should be a paragraph, the coherence, and consistence. Also, it says that each sentence of the paragraph has to have linking itself. FILE 6: DRAFTING (NARRATIVE PARAGRAPH) This file shows us how to use the right techniques that we know before we start to write one of the types of paragraph as the narrative paragraph. We can use the steps mentioned before in another files of writing. However, I had some trouble getting my paragraph because I did not know how to properly connect my ideas. FILE 7: DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH The material was very clear to me understand it, this file tells us the order that we have to follow when we must describe some person, places, animals, etc. also, what kind of adjectives we use, and of course the steps that we followed in the other file to write a paragraph. Importantly, through the examples very clear we can do a great job. However, I had issues with my own coherence. FILE 8: EXPOSITORY PARAGRAPH We can say that expository texts are those who engage in a topic or argument that provides an oral discourse, as it contains social arguments of one or more topics; It mean, you can choose a theme or more to go to make a speech or exposure . This file shows us clarity, precision. Preferential use of this timeless and indicative. Specifically, the use of the imperfect if it is the description of process .Use of connectors. Using resources such comparisons, definitions, lists and examples. FILE 9: PERSUASIVE PARAGRAPHS Persuasive paragraph is induced to believe or do something, whose main objective is to present a series of arguments, which means a number of explanations to prove or demonstrate a proposition or to persuade another of what is affirmed or denied, then reach an ending on the theme chosen by the author. This file is intended to show through

examples how to make persuasive paragraph and follow a series of steps for proper preparation.

READINGS FILES

FILE 1: READING AS A PROCESS The objective of this file is firstly, how are the steps to get a good reading, establish a purpose of the reading, as if the reading is about looking for information or what happened in a history. Also, what kind of information gives us the title of the reading, the images, and what we know before we reading. Also, this file tells us that when we do not know a word in the reading, we can keep reading and infer from the context what try to mean. In fact, this techniques of reading is very useful because tells us how is the reading process and how to make infer, and we know what is the reading about. Although, I had some difficulties when I did not know the meaning of any word in the reading, but, I had help of this file about when it talk about the context of the reading. READING FILE 2: Guessing Meaning from Context (I) The purpose of this file is how to identify the part the speech of verb, adverb, adjective and noun. So far to me is the most interesting of all. Besides, we have the part of words like suffixes, prefixes, and roots. I like this one, because it has many examples and exercises. READING FILE 3: Guessing Meaning from Context (II) In this file we have a review about file 1 and 2 about the strategies and unfamiliar words to us. I like the explanation about synonyms, antonyms, definitions and contrast, general knowledge and infer. I did not find anything difficult to understand. Reading files 4: Guessing Meaning from Context (III) Such as the others file this one is about how to know the meaning of the text from the context. it tells us how to infer, how look information above the some words and the strategies to get a good reading. Without never mind if we do not know a word in the text.

FILE 4: SCANNING, MAIN IDEAS, TOPIC SENTENCE I think that this file is very interesting to me because showed us the different way that we can read and with an example very descriptive of how and when we can use this type of reading. This file helped us to develop skills that we can use with any text. Nevertheless, I had some trouble with I try to read because when I do not know some word I lose the focus of the reading. Also, I need more explanation about this file because I still do not know how to know the main idea. READING FILE 5: MAKING INFERENCES This file gave us the key about how to read properly, how to know the main idea if is not evident in the reading. Also, it shows us after to read how to find out which is the main idea if it is implicit in the reading. However, I think it's not so easy to understand, I had to read three times to understand how to use the information in the context of reading.

To conclude, we can say that these files were very useful for the expansion of knowledge in the accomplishment of deeds taking into account the type of audience, the techniques of readings and writings. With this material, I have not only increased my knowledge, instead, I have a clearer and more complete picture of how to carry out the realization of paragraphs, and how to read better. It has also shown that the generated applications are useful and valuable to produce measurable and significant improvements, both in teaching the teacher, and the student learning, contributing to greater satisfaction and well-being of both to engage in the activities of teaching and learning. I enjoyed this material because I found very useful not only in reading and writing but in other subjects. However, lacks a bit of explanation of the material in some occasions for several reasons.
