Fall 2009 China Sales Mission & Seminar Series Hangzhou, Wuhan, Qingdao
September 13 18, 2009 Organized by the Evergreen Building Products Association /US-China Build Program and the American Forest & Paper Association. The theme of the half-day seminars is energy efficiency and the use of US green building materials in construction. The state of Idaho will participate in this mission which will visit three of China's growing markets: Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Qingdao. The 8th VietnamWood show will be held in conjunction with Furnitec2009. The two shows are expected to attract more than 16,000 domestic and overseas visitors. Target industries for exhibitors include: woodworking machinery, kiln drying and timber technologies, joinery and molding, furniture, veneer products and machinery. Vietnamese lumber demand: In 2008, Vietnam imported $2.3 million in softwoods from the United States, an increase of 100% from 2007.
