As a passionate United supporter and STholder I came to Stamford Bridge with a heavy heart expecting at best a draw as we were

without our talismen Rooney and Van Persie. On one side we had a rookie manager who hasn't won anything having been chosen by a kremlinesque selection process where he was basically given the job by Fergie. Since when is a genius able to select another? To add insult to injury the United Board allowed a complete change of the trusted back room staff and the CEO in a collective kamikaze. Moyes was also given a blank cheque for 6 years with no minimal expectations eg a CL place at least this season. Blaming the Glazers and Woodward is easy but instead of reinforcing an aging squad he futilely chased Fabregas and Alcantara before purchasing an overpriced Fellaini. My suspicions were confirmed by his record losses at Old Trafford to bottom of the table teams and by the fact that his ex team Everton are doing better than United without him. I suspect that his archaic training methods have contributed to the players injuries as a Dutch coach has already reported. I wasn't surprised tonight by his stupid selections of Wellbeck and Januzaj upfront and 'diver' Young on the wing whereas Hernandez upfront, Kagawa behind him and Januzaj on the left wing would have made much more sense. Later on whilst he brought Hernandez on he also made a defensive substitution when we were chasing the game. Clearly he isn't in the same class as Fergie who had won before he came to United and then turned drunkards into champions and last year turned this average lot into champions. Moyes has made us serial losers. On the other side we had a class outfit set up not to lose the game with one striker Eto who subsequently scored a hat trick amply justifying his selection. Their coach Mourinho has a record of trophies only second to Fergie's and whist he only coaches accomplished players and doesn't stay long he knows how to deliver what every football fan wants to see ie a win. Mourinho has very cleverly suggested to Rooney that the grass will be greener elsewhere soon because he is holding out for a player of this quality to match City's current dominance. Whether Mourinho will change and remain at the Bridge long term under a Russian who meddles plus a director of football remains to be seen. He would have much preferred the total power that United offers their managers. I left the Bridge quite sad because I love my club and I cannot see the logic in giving a rookie time to take it into total decline rather than a short transition. What happens when Rooney and Van Persie leave at the end of the season and we can't attract big signings because of no CL place? Why didn't we have a proper selection process with Mourinho, Guardiola and Heynckes on a short list and not a chosen losing one? Why is the Media protecting a British manager by blaming the Glazers,Woodward and the squad instead of highlighting Moyes' failings? I really hope for the sake of this great club that the powers that be soon realise that he's just another Wilf McGuiness or Tommy O'Farell and sack him. Sir Bobby Charlton's words 'we don't want the likes of Mourinho around here' might well come back to haunt him.
