Visitor Safety Rules and Regulations

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND SIGN THIS FORM IN AGREEMENT WITH POWELLS SAFETY GUIDELINES
SCOPE These Safety Rules apply to anyone visiting Powell Electrical Systems who is not performing work in the manufacturing areas. Individuals who are to perform work should refer to the Powell Safety Rules specified in the document entitled Safety Rules and Regulations available through the Human Resources Department or your host. Individuals performing work would include employees, contractors and customer inspectors who will assist in testing. Visitors are expected to use their good judgment in applying these rules to situations not specifically described.. GENERAL SAFETY RULES 1. A 10 MPH speed limit is to be observed in the parking area. Pedestrians have the right of way at all times. 2. All injuries or accidents must be reported immediately, no matter how small it may seem. 3. Firearms and weapons are prohibited on company property. 4. Children brought into the companys building must be accompanied by a parent at all times and have approval of management in advance. They are not permitted in manufacturing areas. 5. All visitors must enter the building through the main lobby and will be issued identification badges. Badges must be worn while at all times while in the facility. 6. No employees except Inspection Personnel are allowed to cross the barrier tapes used by Inspection without the permission of either the Inspector assigned to job, a QA Leadman, the Inspection Supervisor, or the QA Manager. These areas can and will contain high voltage. CLOTHING AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT 1. Visitors must wear professional, industry accepted attire. 2. If visitors are planning to enter the shop area, safety glasses will be issued at the receptionists desk, and must be worn in all designated areas. The wearing of prescription glasses will not preclude the wearing of safety glasses unless the prescription glasses are rated as safety glasses compliant with ANSI Z87 and have side shields. If prescription glasses are not safety glass rated, you must obtain a pair of over the lens safety glasses. 3. Visitors must comply with all posted signs indicating hearing protection required. 4. No open toe shoes are allowed to be worn in manufacturing areas. MANUFACTURING FACILITY RULES 1. The environmental strip curtains are to be used by motorized equipment only. They are not for personnel entry or exit. 2. Stay clear of all equipment being moved with a forklift. Do not attempt to restrain or direct the movement of equipment being transported, pushed or moved by a forklift. 3. Stay at least 15 feet away from PCRs being moved by the overhead crane. 4. Follow all safety labels on ladders. Extreme caution should be used when on ladders and stools. Do not stand on wire spools. 5. Do not walk or work under any elevated loads or elevated personnel.
