Our Midel plant is dedicated exclusively to the production of esters for the electrical industry and we are very proud of our reputation. They are also respected leaders of CIGR and IEC working groups and regularly undertake extensive projects with prestigious research organisations. Originally developed in the 1970s, MIDEL 7131 is today used in thousands of new transformers to increase safety. Over the same period, MIDEL 7131 has gained an excellent reputation as a cost effective retrofill fluid for the replacement of flammable mineral oil. Retrofilling distribution transformers is a straightforward process because MIDEL 7131 is fully miscible with mineral oil and suitable for breathing systems. Users retrofill for a number of reasons including environmental protection, fire safety, and to bring wet transformers back into operation.Furthermore, insurance companies are recommending MIDEL 7131 retrofills to reduce risks to safety.
