As I have never been to the location before, I am unsure of any possible dangerous objects around.

This could potentially be dangerous to the model and me.

Risk Control Taken

As I am uncertain of this potential danger I will be sure to take care whilst carrying out the shoot and remove or move anything that could be seen as a hazard. I will choose to not shoot outside if the weather is bad to avoid any damage to the camera.

If the weather included rain, this could break or damage the camera.

This would be a risk for the camera and could result in not being able to take the photographs.

There will most likely be a few trip hazards around as it is such a big place and is fully furnished which may mean some of the rooms can become crowded. The camera could be dropped.

This could potentially be a risk for the model, the camera and me as it could get dropped if I was to trip.

I will be very careful when positioning the model and also make sure that nothing is lying around that could be a potential tripping hazard.

This could possibly break the camera or cause some damage.

I will be making sure that the camera strap is round my neck to avoid dropping it. This will also avoid damage if I tripped, as the camera wouldnt fall on the floor. I will make sure that the fire escape is clear to exit and everyone will follow the precautions and the routine the building has if a fire occurs.

There is the possibility of a fire.

This would affect everyone in the building and would damage the equipment.

What Health and Safety legislation might you need to consider in this project? The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 is the primary piece of legislation covering occupational health and safety in Great Britain. This is the only health and safety legislation that I will need to consider whilst doing my photography as this covers all the possible hazards and risks and protects peoples health and safety rights. The location of the shoot will need to be checked for possible hazards that could potentially occur whilst we are there, a risk assessment will need to be taken at Nunnington Hall which will cover possible scenarios. I have completed my own risk assessment, which covers possible dangerous situations that could happen, and what I would have to do in these cases. The tutors have also taken part in their own risk assessment that covers everything that could happen.
