The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC - Manila) and Board

of Nursing (BoN) has released a board resolution regarding the new dress
code for Nurse Licensure Exam (NLE) Examinees.

Board Resolution No. 2009 - 17 series of 2009 prescribed a dress code


in Nurses Licensure Examination and not allowing an examinee(s) to the

without nameplate, school insignia/ logo or pin.
• COPAR , Kawasaki disease , Immunity, Contraceptives,

Examninee(s) who are not in the dress code shall not be allowed to take
the examinations and their examination fees shall be forfeited. Those

Influenza A (H1N1)

Symptoms of A(H1N1)

• chills
• fever
• coughing
• headaches
• sore throats
• muscle pain
• weakness
• General discomfort,

In some cases of the 2009 A virus H1N1, patients also are shown to have
diarrhea and vomiting. Most of the cases are nothing less that a common
cold, however due to the recent history of events, anybody with these
symptoms should get medical attention and explain to the doctor the

within 2 days of the symptoms. According to (CDC), it recommends the
antiviral drugs “Tamiflu” (oseltamivir) or “Relenza” (zanamivir)
however, most patients do not require medical attention or drugs. Also it
is important to note that the 2009 strain is known to be resistant to
“amantadine” and “rimantadine”.

How to prevent : The CDC recommends taking these steps:

1. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, especially after
coughing or sneezing.
Or use an alcohol-based hand cleaner.

2. Avoid close contact with sick people.

3. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
