1- Partnership Program (PP)
Partnership Program of CWS Cambodia has two sub-projects that currently operate in four different
provinces; KTP Partnership Project provides financial support and technical assistances to KORCD
and other Cambodian NGOs to implement Integrated Community Development (ICD) in Baray and
Santuk districts, and BTB/BTM Partnership Project provides financial support and technical
assistances to KCDA, ADOVIR, CFEDA, KNTO, DYBTB and DYMB in Samlout, Bavel and Sangke
districts of Battambang province, Ou Chrov, Malai and Mongkul Borei districts of Banteay Meanchey
province, and Banteay Ampil district of Oddar Meanchey province.

 27 staff (12 women) of 11 CNGO partners namely;


KORCD, CFEDA, KNTO, ADOVIR, KCDA, CIDC, CC,
KCC, ICA, CSCM and CSF received Financial and
Accounting Management training from the Partnership
Program Office during the reporting period.

 16 KCC staff (six women) were assisted by the


Partnership Program Office staff to develop Strategic
Planning. Another similar assistance also assisted by
the Program Office staff to review KORCD Strategic
Plan with its six staff (three women) participated.

 During the reporting period, the Partnership Program


Office conducted regular follow up training to 27 staff

of nine CNGO partners (KORCD, CFEDA, KNTO,
ADOVIR, KCDA, CIDC, CSCM, ICA, KCC) among the
Program works with. Additionally, to strengthen the
program implementation with deeply impact to CNGO
partner staff, the Program Office also conducted full
program meeting with eight staff (two women)
attended. US$ 10,402.11 US$1,560.31

2-KTP Partnership Project


Project Location: Kampong Thom province
 A four-day training on Conflict resolution conducted
with 30 participants (14 women) that are: six KORCD
staff and three volunteers, and 21 VDC from 25-28
August 2008.

 A two-day training on planting vegetable in the bottle


conducted by the Partnership Kampong Thom staff
with 58 participants (42 women) who are the target
beneficiaries of CIDC and KORCD in Phan Nheum
Commune of Prasat Balangk District and Tang
Krasang Commune of Suntuk District.

 Five partner staff were sent to attend training on


“Basic Financial Management in CWS Phnom Penh
from 15 -19 September 2008.

 The Project staff conducted a Community


Development training/workshop to 12 CNGOs staff
(six KORCD staff, five CIDC staff) and one volunteer
of partnership in Kampong Thom from 21 -22 June
2008.

 KORCD with grant and technical support from CWS


was able to provide four buffalos and a cow to five
different self help groups, four wells to villagers in
four target village. Moreover, three elders
associations in Phnov Tbong, Phnov Thom and
Thnot Chum pagodas with 520 people (212 women)
were formed and are being to save money. Also 17
rice bank members of nine rice banks formed by
KORCD borrowed 183,332 Kg of rice seeds.

 In this quarter, Partnership staff conducted six times


either office or field visited to KORCD. Other two
monthly meetings also held in July and August with
KORCD staff at KORCD office. The Project staff
facilitated KORCD staff to conduct Training Needs
Assessment for 2009.

3-BTB/BTM Partnership Project
Project Location: Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey

 The BTB and BTM Project staff provided coaching


and support to CNGO partner staff;CFEDA, KNTO,
ADOVIR and KCDA regarding program planning and
implementation of their integrated community
development program. They implement the program

in 59 villages in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and
Oddar Meanchey provinces. In addition, within this
report period the Project disbursed US$ 10,073 of
grants to CFEDA and KNTO.

 A three-day training on Participatory Rural Appraisal


(PRA) was organized and provided to 10 partner staff
(4 women) from KCDA, ADOVIR, KNTO and CFEDA.
KCDA acquired knowledge to conduct PRA in nine
villages in Tatok Commune, Samlout District, BTB
while KNTO conducted PRA in four villages in Ampil
Commune, Banteay Ampil District, OMC.

 ADOVIR distributed two cooking pots and one water


dragged cart to funeral association in Stapor Mouy
village. They also provided two training courses of
one day on Rights Base to 44 VHVs, VDCs, Village
Chiefs and Funeral Association Committee members
(20 women) from 12 villages in Ampil Pramdem
Commune, Bavel District, BTB.

 Organized a one-day meeting for 14 partner staff (5


women) from CFEDA, KNTO and KCDA to discuss
Community Based Disaster Risk Mitigation program
(CBDRM) of DIPECHO project related to
implementation plan, principle and responsibilities
between CNGO partners and CWS.

 Coordinated with Provincial Red Cross of BTB and


BTM and with District Red Cross of Samlout, BTB and
Banteay Ampil, OMC regarding cooperation and
selection of Red Cross Counterparts to support
DIPECHO project.

 KCDA and CFEDA were supported to introduce and


explain the CBDRM program among 26 Village
leaders, VDCs, CCs and RCVs in eight villages from
three Communes;Tasah and Soung in Samlout
