ANB 89, The Life Within

What I would like to show you today, and I pray you see, is that the very same kind of
life that God has, "the Zoe", lives within us. If we can live the God life, then truly we can
get God's results. If we can live God's kind of life, then nothing from the other life can
dominate us. We dominate. We create, we decide, we rule, we determine, we govern.
The Zoe life was meant to dominate this earth. The Spiritual was always meant to
dominate the natural, and we should live this. So I'm saying if we can live this spiritual
life, it can dominate, first our natural body, and then everything natural that we come
in contact with. Let me give you some scripture to get us going. Don't just skim these,
let them sink in. Read them out loud over and over. We must get a revelation knowledge
of these, not just a head knowledge. Glory to God.

"Howbeit that was not first which is Spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward
that which is Spiritual. The first man (Adam) is of the earth, earthy: the second man
(Jesus) is the Lord from Heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy:and
as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image
of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." (1 Corinthians 15:46-49).

So we start as natural beings. We start with natural lives. We have seen already that
there are two words for "life" in the New Testament. The first is "psuche" or "psyche,"
the second "Zoe." This verse will illustrate how they are used I pray. "He that loves
his life (psuche) shall lose it; and he that hates his life (psuche) shall keep it unto life
(Zoe) eternal." (John 12:25). Anytime Jesus talked about laying down his life, as in John
10:15, He uses "psuche." Anytime the Bible references eternal life, the Word is Zoe.

Let us look at some scripture with that in mind. I am simply going to use the word "Zoe"
now in place of life. The psuche was the natural life, the Zoe is the eternal life. First we
had psuche, but now we can have Zoe, glory to God.

"I am the way, the truth and the Zoe: no man comes unto the Father but by Me. John
14:6, Jesus speaking.

"I am the resurrection and the Zoe: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall
he live." John 11:25, Jesus speaking.

"I am come that they might have Zoe, and that they might have it more abundantly."
John 10:10, Jesus speaking.

"According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto Zoe and
Godliness, through the knowledge of Him (Jesus) that has called us by glory and
virtue." 2 Peter 1:3.

"And this is the promise that He (Jesus) has promised us, even eternal Zoe." 1 John 2:25

Now a few verses about living in the Zoe.

"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him." 1 John 4:9.

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved Me, and
gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Can you see the progression here, glory to God.

Jesus Christ is the very embodiment of Zoe, the God kind of life. Jesus tells us that He
has come so that we might have His life everlasting. We can have His life. It's not that
we can have it after we leave this flesh. We can have it right now, praise God. Zoe came
so that we could have Zoe.

So Jesus says He is Zoe and He came to give us Zoe. Look at the verses again, Jesus
gave Himself (the Zoe), to Me. For God so loved the world that He sent His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
Zoe. God sent us Jesus Christ so that we could have Zoe. Jesus Christ laid down his
psuche so that we could have Zoe.

The entire purpose of Christ was to give us Zoe. Why were we without Zoe? Sin. That
is another message, but keep that in mind as you begin to live the Zoe. Of course, Jesus
Christ came to reconcile us back to God. But for us to be reconciled, or part and parcel
with that reconciliation, is that we have the same kind of life God has. Why can no flesh
stand before God and live, why could God not show Himself to Moses, why could the
Israelites not touch Mount Sinai when God was there? They did not have His life.

But now, oh Glory to God. "You are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and
that burned with fire . . . and so terrible was the sight that Moses said, ' I exceedingly fear
and quake.' But you are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the
heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels." Hebrews 11:18-22.

Glory to God. We can touch Him now, not in our flesh in which the taint of sin remains,
but in our spirits that have the Zoe inside of us. For this reason God can abide in us (John
14:23). For this reason we can become one with God (1 Corinthians 6). We live as He
lives. "As He is, so are we in this world." 1 John 4:17.

The moment you believe in Jesus Christ the Zoe comes in you. But whether you live it or
not depends on you. The Zoe life is totally dependent on God, for your Zoe is not of you
but it is of Him. The Holy Spirit in you, bonded with your spirit, is what supercharges
you and causes the Zoe to infect your whole body and then your whole life. Glory to
God.
This is the life. This is the only life I want to live. I can't go back, I won't go back. And
now that we are tasting the good waters from the rivers of Zoe that come out of our spirits
(John 4), we are going to start walking in the glory of God. Praise the Lord.
