WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WE GATHER TO GLORIFY GOD

PRELUDE Allegro (Organ Concerto No. 1 in G Major), CALL TO WORSHIP (from Psalm 27) One: The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? All: The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One: One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, All: To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. One: Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me! All: Come, my heart says, seek his face! Your face, Lord, do I seek, O God of my salvation! HYMN 341 (Blue Hymnal) Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine! Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750 Luke Woodcock

Assurance

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON) Gracious God, You have given us the Bread of Life, and yet we fill ourselves with sin, and we have turned from your table. Our transgressions have become too heavy to carry, too real to hid, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, setting us free from a past that we cannot change, opening us to a future in we can be changed, and granting us the grace to grow in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ, the light of the world, and the Bread of Life. Amen ASSURANCE OF PARDON GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen. SACRAMENT OF HOLY BAPTISM Emanuella Brantley Dickerson
At this time, children 9 years old and younger are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary with our volunteer leaders. The children and their leaders will worship in the chapel. They will be in "Children's Church" for the remainder of the morning and will meet parents in the social room.

WE RESPOND TO GODS WORD

HYMN 379 (Blue Hymnal) My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less APOSTLES CREED (IN UNISON) I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
