LG Series - Rotary Screw Air Compressors

Kaishan offers complete, high quality, low cost LG series rotary screw air compressors. They come configured as belt driven (7.5kw -18.5kw), optional gear driven, direct driven (22kw 160kw) with discharge pressures from 0.7Mpa to 1.3Mpa. Water-cooled and aircooled units are available. PLC is a common feature for the LG series and is included in VSD packages. LG AIREND

The New, Highly Efficient SKK Rotors SKK series rotor profiles originated in England but are owned by Kaishan Compressor. The newest design has evolved from previous generations to meet todays market requirements-Energy and cost efficiency with greater capacity. Our rugged airend contains two rotors, the male rotor has four lobes and the female rotor has five flutes for compressors under 45KW and five male lobes and six female flutes rotors for compressors above 55kw. SKK rotors utilize larger bearings and larger slower turning rotors to produce more compressed air volume per KW. The clearance between rotors is far smaller compared to competitors and the smaller leak path creates a highly efficient lubricating film to reduce compression heat. Slower rotor speeds reduces the operating sound level and vibration. The Design Features of the LG Series Our single-stage rotary screw airend is engineered for its durability. Larger rotors allows for bigger bearings, 30%-50% slower rotor speeds results in less power consumption, lower sound levels and reduced maintenance cost . Our one piece bearing housing ensures both rotors are ridgely held by the bearings in proper alignment during transient periods such as machine startups/ shutdowns or load changes. SKF bearings and SEALTECH bearing seals are utilized in all airends. All of our compressors have the latest inlet valve, airend air discharge port and oil inlet port design. Lower sound (dBA) emission level than most of our competitors results in less sound pollution.

The Design Features of the LG Series - continued The axial and rotational loadings are supported by different bearings for better stiffness and less transition noise. Simple package design requires only minimum maintenance for optimum performance. Continuous cooling and circulation of lubricating oil, ensures long airend operating life.

LG Series Air Cooled Package

High Efficiency Drive Motors IEC high efficiency drive motors. IP54 and high temperature F class rating. Direct coupling design for extended bearing life. Easy maintenance with grease refill port.

Integrated Microprocessor Controller Easy to use and maintenance free. Constant readout of pressure and temperature. Selective readout of all operating and maintenance parameters. Safety shutdown. Provides 24hours automatic start-stop operation. Lead-lag and sequencing with multiple compressors.

Electrical Control Protection Phase protection. If one phase fails (from the three phases), the power breaker will trip. Phase sequence protection relay. The unit will not start when failure occurs. High discharge temperature shutdown. Auto-dual control: If there is no system demand during the pre-set time delay, the compressor will shut down the drive motor. The control will restart the compressor when system pressure drops to the preselected pressure level. Overload start protection. Automatic blow down during unloading before the unit shuts off ensures the unit does not start under load.

Versatile Package Control System The unique design-Differential Pressure Valve- provides rapid response under any condition and maintains the set differential pressure between the inlet pressure and outlet pressure Inlet valves with control valves 100% modulating inlet valve to match system air demand. Our, continuous duty design achieves energy efficiency. Highly reliable Thermal Regulation Valve allows optimal lubricant oil cooling before it is cycled back to the airend. Minimum pressure check valve assures continuous pressure for lubricating the compressor, reduces oil foaming and protects the air-oil separator element.

Superior Filtration System Ultra efficient Kerry inlet air filters provide clean air that traps dirt particles to less than 3 microns. Easy spin on Kerry Oil filters. Pressure differential gauges for easy filter maintenance.

Electronic Pressure Controller and Solenoid Valve Highly reliable compact design. Easy to install. Fast response 2-way and 3-way solenoid valves.

LG Series VSD Air Compressor All LG compressors are built to be compatible with the optional VSD feature.

LG Variable Speed air compressors provide maximum efficiency with operating consistency. Unlike the traditional Auto-dual and Load/No load control modes, LG VSD modulate the speed of the drive motor in response to system demand. This results in greater energy saving compared to a fixed speed compressor. Motor starting power surges are greatly reduced by VSD features. Delivery of more constant air pressure extends valves life within the package. VSD Unit: Industry leading VSD units are used in the LG series compressors package. Compressor Fluid & Cooling System

A custom-blended PAO synthetic hydrocarbon fluid provides: Premium lubrication at high and low temperatures. Reduced volatility properties. Long life lubricant formulated with rust and oxidation inhibitors. 4000 hours fluid comes with standard units.

Kaishan Compressor Co. Ltd
