The Polartec Classic series of fabrics are the reference standard for lightweight warmth and breathability. Polartec Classic fabrics have been the primary insulation layer of choice among experienced outdoor enthusiasts for nearly three decades. How Does it Work?

The 100% polyester velour construction creates air pockets that trap air and retain body heat. Unlike less expensive fleece fabrics, Polartec Classic products maintain their insulating ability and non-pilling appearance after repeated laundering. These fabrics are available in a range of weights to provide the right level of insulation for most outdoor activities.  Polartec Classic Micro weight fabric is the lightest weight available and provides an extra soft hand.  Polartec Classic 100 weight fabric is ideal for a warm first layer or lightweight sweater.  Polartec Classic 200 weight fabric provides outstanding warmth and versatility.  Polartec Classic 300 weight fabric is the heaviest and provides a warm thermal layer for very cold outdoor activities. 0 .1 tog/g/m2
Thermal Transmittance/Insulation Test: The test is conducted on a Reeves Thermal tester, S/N 1623. Insulation property is measured in clo/tog values. The higher the clo/tog value, the greater the insulation properties.

Many styles are also available with a water repellent surface that sheds rain and snow.
