The Schedule
The Master of Science in Finance will allow students to earn a graduate degree without waiting to acquire the years of work experience required for admission to an MBA program. Students will complete the program over three terms, beginning coursework in the summer and finishing the following May. The programs accelerated nature is a cost-effective option for people considering a graduate degree.

Master of Science in Finance degree program, offered by the Finance and Business Economics department, allows you to complete an advanced degree in12 months. Thethree semester (Summer, Fall and Spring) accelerated track makes you more marketable for a finance career. The principal objective of the Master of Science in Finance is to give you the knowledge and skills needed to excel in finance. With the MSFin degree, you cangain a comparative advantageover the competition, and apply it to many fields.

The Curriculum

The curriculum will include 36 units (nine required and three elective courses). Core courses in accounting, economics, finance and statistics will be supplemented with courses on the role of finance in corporations, investment analysis and portfolio theory, and forecasting and risk.

Students can personalize their degrees with elective courses on such topics as real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and international trade. All courses will be taught on the University of Southern California campus by the Marshall School of Business award-winning faculty.
