I take great pleasure in writing this recommendation for Mr. Aashav Patel, who is enrolled as a student for the Bachelors in Chemical Engineering program from June 2010 to May 2014 in our college. I have taught him Process Calculation apart from being his Head of Department. Throughout his time at the institute Aashav has shown a methodical approach towards every subject that he has been taught. Aashav has exhibited both high interest and competence in the class and interacting with him was always a good experience. His grades in the final exams are testimony of his intelligence and keen attentive skills. Teaching a motivated student like him was indeed a satisfying experience. Submitting assignments on time, answering questions in class, and never shying away from asking questions, are the three qualities that describe him best in my class. His development has been an all round one, and his ability to work under pressure is highly commendable. In his fourth semester, due to medical reasons, he was unable to give both the class tests and mid semester exams, which make up for 35% of the final grade, yet he did not give up hope. Through hard work and sheer resilience he managed to secure a 7 pointer in the 4th semester, while clearing all his subjects. Aashav has shown high motivation and good time management skills along with a deep knowledge and curiosity for the technical subjects. To extend his learning beyond curriculum, he took up an internship in summer. He was placed in the Piping Department of Heurtey Petrochem Pvt. Ltd. He is currently working in the Process Department of Heurtey Petrochem Pvt. Ltd. for his final year project. He has also done several mini projects. His projects exhibited his exemplary research skills. I have often seen him helping out his fellow classmates and friends. Tutoring them in subjects and helping out in practical classes. His open mindset and generous nature, makes him extremely popular among both the students and teachers. His thirst for knowledge is something that, it seems, cannot be slaked. He has always been striving to learn more, both in terms of scope and depth. His analytical mind pushes him to not just understand but to also apply. A mature student, in terms of knowledge and human interactions, Aashav will exceed all expectations and complete all tasks given to him, while making it look effortless. I strongly recommend him for the masters program in your esteemed university.
