FU You Ax Wielding Maniac

By: Rick Martin http://www.rattlesnakegames.com

This FU mod allows you to roleplay your own slasher movie. You need the FU core rules available at www.PerilPlanet.com/FU in order to use this mod. Hopefully with these rules and suggestions, you can have a game thats scary, campy, and most importantly, fun. Creating Characters When creating your characters, keep in mind the various tropes and clichs that abound in slasher movies. Dont be afraid to embrace stereotypes, or make unlikable characters that everyone wants to see meet a messy end. Just remember that its all about having fun. FU Points The GM starts with a number of FU points equal to the number of players. The GM gains FU points whenever a player character drinks copious amounts of alcohol, does drugs, engages in sexual activity, or participates in other immoral behavior. Also consider having the GM gain FU points when a character says, Ill be right back, or some other phrase that tends to lead to demise in slasher films. The GM can spend FU points to: Force a player to reroll a Beat the Odds roll Add a penalty die to a Beat the Odds roll Have the killer appear in a location in close proximity to one, or more PCs without having it be logically possible for he/she/it to get there.

Different Styles of Play You can create a variety of different moods in your game session. You might go for more horror, where characters are trying desperately to survive, or you might play a game where your players try to create circumstances where they can be killed off in unique and disgusting ways. Players should have backup characters that they can introduce if/when their character is killed.

Your game can have a slow start, as the GM leaves small clues that about a killer on the loose, or you can get straight into the action. It may be a good idea to have scenes where your players are roleplaying characters youve created so they can be butchered indiscriminately; giving them an idea of what could happen to their characters in the near future. Consider giving players who have been killed, once youve reached a point in the plot where you do not want additional characters introduced, a couple of FU points that they can spend on, or possibly against, a players behalf. For a really bloody game, have a bowl in the middle of the table filled with folded up quarter page character sheets. Make all of the characters slasher film stereotypes, and whenever a players character dies, that player has to draw a new one from the bowl.
