Radio Planning and Optimization Webinar

June 2013

Introduction
NosTech Solutions is a specialized independent Australian engineering company focused on providing tools and services on RF planning and optimization. We have a team of expert RF engineers with over 15 years of experience in both network planning and optimization. Our team has extensively used softwares like Atoll and EDX which are used by many telecom operators, government and private sector broadcasters and mobile radio networks. Our engineers have been involved in the design of the latest 3G and 4G networks as well as emerging technologies such as WiMAX. The course is based EDX SignalPro RF planning and optimization software and as an added benefit it includes a full copy of this software but locked to a particular geographic area for the purpose of training. In this way participants can practice with the tool in their own time and complete specific assignments included in the training. EDX innovation has resulted in continuous leadership in planning tool development, including "first to market" status for the following and many more: Fully functional Mesh Network planning tool "Clutter Carving" method of characterizing physical environment for wireless broadband planning (i.e. WiMAX, WiFi, etc.) Web-enabled use and analysis of EDX SignalPro engineering study files UTD ray-tracing radio-frequency propagation modeling for Metropolitan Area Networks and In-building environments Automatic frequency planning for point-to-multipoint systems Bi-direction (uplink/downlink) MMDS studies Complete characterization of adaptive "smart" antennas Interference analysis considering cross-polarization antennas

EDX propagation and planning tools have been used in more than 60 countries worldwide for the successful design and deployment of wireless networks.

Course Structure
The course has been divided into four modules each of which is presented over a three-hour period of instruction. Introduction to RF Planning RF Planning for GSM & UMTS Networks RF Planning for LTE Networks Practical Project (includes one hour of personal tuition)

Training materials distributed to the attendees consist of: A copy of EDX SignalPro Soft copy of the slides presented during the course for note taking and future reference.

We use Go to Meeting software to present the course requiring you only to log in with the instructions that we provide in advance. No software is required on your computer and with a VoIP connection there is no charge other than an Internet connection. Each three-hour module is priced at US$250 and must be paid for in advance. Either direct bank transfer, or credit card payments are accepted. Each module may be taken individually however its mandatory that Module 1, Introduction to RF planning is taken first as it includes the basic information on the use of the planning tool.
