14 East Service Road, Western Bicutan Taguig City PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING - STUDENTS UNIT BY LAWS OF THE PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING - STUDENTS UNIT OBJECTIVES: To encourage students in broadening their skills and knowledge for the development and for the fulfillment of the organization. VISION: The Philippine Society of Nondestructive Testing - Students Unit shall be the center of excellence and development in the profession of Nondestructive Testing. MISSION: The Philippine Society of Nondestructive Testing - Students Unit shall maintain and conduct seminars and connections with industries for job applications purposes related to the course for the beneficiary of Nondestructive Testing students and to develop highly qualified technical manpower for national and global socio-economic, industrial growth, progress and prosperity.

ARTICLE I -MEETINGSSECTION 1: Annual Meeting the annual meetings of the members shall be held at the principal office of the organization on any date of April of each year. The president shall render his annual report to the member regarding the activities of organization the election of the officers shall also be held during this regular meeting. SECTION 2: Special meetings Special meeting of the officers shall be called as the need there of arises, by the officers or the president upon petition of 1/3 of the general membership. SECTION 3: Notices of the time and place of annual special meetings of the members shall be post on kalayaan board outside the principal office of the organization, and on other bulletin boards allotted per technology/ building at least one (1) week before the date set for such meetings. The notice of every special meeting shall state briefly the purpose/s of the meeting. SECTION 4: Order of the business at the annual meeting of the members shall be as follows: a. Proof of Service of the required noticed of meeting. b. Reading and approval of the minutes of the previous annual meeting. c. Unfinished Business d. Report of the President e. Election of the officers for the ensuing year. f. Other matters

SECTION 5: Voting proxy each member shall be entitled to only one vote and she/ he may vote in person or by proxy which shall be in witting and filled with the secretary of the association before the schedule meeting. ARTICLE II -FUNCTIONS AND POWERSECTION 1: PRESIDENT The president shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. He shall preside in all meetings of the member of the organization and the officers. The presidents solely have the right to command what will happen to the organization. He shall execute all the resolutions of the officers. He shall be charge in directing and overseeing the activities of the organization. He shall submit to the board as soon as possible after the close of each fiscal year, and to the member of each annual meeting, a complete reports of the activities and operations of the organization for the fiscal year under his/ her term. He shall be in charge for the executive committee.

SECTION 2: VICE PRESIDENT The vice president is qualified, shall have power of the president during the absence or incapacity of the latter and shall perform duties that maybe assigned by the officers. SECTION 3: SECRETARY The secretary shall give all notices required by these by laws and keep the meetings of all the member and of the board in the book kept for the purpose. He/ She shall have custody of the members register and the correspondence files of the association. He/ She shall also perform all such other duties and work as the board may from time to time assign to his/her. He/ She shall have the responsibility to be in charge of the secretarial committee. SECTION 4: TREASURER The treasurer shall have charge of the funds, recipes and disbursement of the organization. He shall keep all moneys and other valuables of the organization. He shall head the financial committee together SECTION 5: AUDITOR The auditor shall audit the funds and properties of organizations and submit audit report as well. SECTION 6: PRO The press relation officer shall disseminate/ promote the activities/ services of the organization. He shall head the logistics and information committee. SECTION 7: BUSINESS MANAGER The business manager shall monitor, control, plan and supervise income generating project of the organization. SECTION 8: REPRESENTATIVES The representative are in charge with the communication dissemination towards members in the different sections. Also she/he supervise activities of the members.

SECTION 8A: EXTERNAL COORDINATOR - He/ She are in charge with the communication dissemination outside the university. SECTION 8B: INTERNAL COORDINATOR - He/ She are in charge with the communication dissemination within the university. SECTION 9: BOARD MEMBERS He/ She has a capability to demand or to mandate proper actions and procedures in accordance to the bylaws of all activities being conducted by the organization. He/ She has a power to raise a board resolution to terminate an officer if he/she is unfit to his/ her position.

ARTICLE III SECTION I: Qualifications of the officers The qualifications required to be considered eligible as an officers are follows: - She/ He must be currently and duly enrolled in Non-Destructive Testing Engineering Technology Program of TUPT within the ensuing year; - She/ He must not have the position of Executives or any equivalent position in any student organizations existing in TUPT. ARTICLE IV SECTION I: Qualification and membership The Board shall determine the qualifications of an applicant for membership.

SECTION 2: Right of membership A member shall have the following rights: a. To exercise the right to vote on all matters relating to the affairs of the organizations: b. To be eligible to any elective or appointive office of the organization: c. To participate in all deliberations/ meetings of the organization. d. To examine all the records of books of the organization. SECTION 3: Duties and responsibilities of the members A member shall have the following duties and responsibilities: a. To obey and comply with the by laws, rules and regulations that may be promulgate; b. To attend all annual and special meetings of the organizations: c. To pay other assessments (such as membership fee) of the organization.

ARTICLE V SUSPENSION, EXPULSION, AND TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP

Section 1: Suspension, expulsion, and termination of membership, shall be in accordance with the rules and regulation of the organization. Section 2: Any members of the organization may be filed charges against a member by filling a written complaint with the secretary of the organization. The officers shall call a special meeting to consider the changes. The affirmative vote of majority of all the officers shall be necessary to suspend a member. Provided that where penalty is expulsion, the affirmative vote of majority of all the members of the organization shall be necessary. Section 3: If any member of this organization will not be able to comply to pay membership fee, he/ she would be given sets of actions; a. WARNING - he/ she will be given a notice that he/ she had not paid the membership fee and would be given at least 1 week prior to pay the required fee before the second offense. b. SUSPENSION If he/ she still does not comply to pay the required fee after receiving the notice for his/ her first offense he/ she would be given another notice stating the termination of his/ her membership. Any activities that being conducted by the organization, he/ she shall not be able to attend the said activities until he/ she paid the membership fee. c. TERMINATION - failure to comply the given notices he/ she will be automatically terminated. ARTICLE VI -RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIPSection 1: Any NDT students can renew their membership every term. Section 2: Any former members of the organization that had been terminated can still renew their membership regardless of previous offenses made. Section 2A: The terminated member can renew their membership in the next term. ARTICLE VII -FUNDSection 1: The funds of the organization shall be derived from gifts, donations, sponsorships, or other coming from either seminars or other activities/seminar/workshops similar to it. Section 2: The funds of the organization shall be used for any expenses used for seminars and activities only. Section 3: Disbursements of funds of the organization shall be signed by the treasurer and countersigned by the presidents. Section 4: The Fiscal year of the organization shall be from the first day of July to March 31 of the year.

Section 5: Membership Fee- A membership fee of fifty pesos (Php. 50.00) shall be required, collected every term to the members of the organization. ARTICLE VIII -CORPORATE SEALSection 1: The corporate seal of the organization shall be in such form and designed as may be determined by the officers and the adviser.

ARTICLE IX -BOARD OF ADVISERSSection 1: Board of advisers shall consist one (1) recognized faculty of the University of the PhilippinesTaguig Campus who has a background in leadership empowerment, transformation and development; at least a masters degree and/or doctorate units obtained: and board members; at most two (2) duly currently enrolled first year and second year students (Technology/ Engineering degree program) within the ensuing year. ARTICLE X -AMENDMENTS OF THE BY LAWSSection 1: These by laws or any provision thereof may be amended or repeated by the majority vote of the officers at any regular or special meeting duly held for the purpose. Adopted this __________________________________________day of_____________________, 20___ In _______________________________by the affirmative vote of the undersigned members representing a majority of the members of the organization in special meeting duly held for the purpose.
