Stages / Time Set induction (5 minutes)

Content -Do you remember the song that you learned in the previous lesson? -Are the verbs in the song in present tense form or past tense form?

Teaching/learning activity 1. Teacher asks the pupils whether they still remember the song that they learned in the previous lesson. Teacher asks them to sing the song. 2. Teacher asks the pupils whether the verbs are in present tense or past tense.

Rationale -to relate the lesson with their previous knowledge -to draw interest -to reduce their affective filter

1. Teacher tells the pupils of what they are going to learn that day. 2. Teacher gives examples of verbs to the pupils. Teacher shows an example to the pupils on how to change a verb from present tense to past tense. 3. Teacher pastes flash cards (refer to appendix 1) of verbs in present tense and asks randomly to change the verbs to past tense form. 1. Teacher provides lyric of song entitled I went to school one morning to the pupils.(refer to appendix 2) 2.
