My study materials and tools 1. Studied PMBOK 4th & 5th edition (read twice, skimmed as reviewed) 2. Read Ritas 7th edition (read once and skimmed) 3. Read Andy Crowes book (read once and skimmed) 4. Registered on Simplilearn.com Online Course 5. Enrolled on Project Management Course (Ryerson University/Acces) 6. Read "Successful Project Management by Gido & Clements" reference at PM Course 7. Read useful sites and resources with PM concepts, forums / group discussions / blogs, tips and recommendations, free sample test questions, etc. Note: *Build a strong foundation on the concepts in PM first and expand your knowledge. It is best to concentrate on few good books first together with PMBOK5 since there are lots of references in the market that may confuse you and consume your time. II. My Scheme/Recommendations 1. First, you should have a reason and an aim, a goal and strong will to Pass the Exam. Decide on a timeline when you want to sit for the exam, and based on that, plan your preparation. 2. Become a PMI member as you review and before registering for the PMP Exam. This will give you guide on study materials and save you some money. 3. Best to attend a Project Management Course to supplement your knowledge on the subject and to gain the required hours. As soon as you have the required hours and assessed that you have the required experience, register to take the PMP Exam. This will help you accelerate your planning process. 4. Reviewed the latest PMP credential handbook and PMP Examination Content Outline. Familiarized with PMP Sample Questions. Check PMI website (pmi.org)(e.g. current titles in PM, eReads & References, newsletters, etc.) for other info. 6. Took as many mock/practice exam as possible. Reviewed and analyzed answers (both correct or incorrect) to identify knowledge gaps or weaknesses and fully understand the topics and principles involved.
