Woodruff Church of God! God is continuing to move in our
services and He is doing awesome things for His people. The
wonderful experience of worship, praise, and prayer Sunday
morning was just what God wants and desires. He is worthy
of our worship. When we go after God with nothing held
back, God will hold nothing back! I’m ready to get as close
to God as I can get….HOW ABOUT YOU?????
WHEN YOU RECEIVE THIS our Community Revival is
either in progress or just closing. I hope that you have been
involved in this meeting. It is a time to come together as
God’s people, regardless of church affiliation, to worship
together, pray together, sing together, and work together. If
this community is going to be won for the Lord, it is going to
take ALL of God’s people to do it. Instead of working
against each other, why not come together, join hands, and
fight the enemy and wage war against the kingdom of
darkness? Together, we can make a difference. Services
begin each night at 7:00 P.M. at Woodruff First Baptist
Church. Our music is being led by our own Todd and Vickie
Porter, and our choir members, praise teams, and
instrumentalists are doing a splendid job? We’ve got people
serving as Ushers and Greeters….. T.H.A.T. church is well
represented!

Wednesday night due to the community Revival.
ANOTHER BIG PART OF OUR WEEK IS FALLFEST. This is
for our church AND our community. We need ALL our
people to come out and support this event. This is what
T.H.A.T. church is all about. We are a TOGETHER church.
When we all come together and get involved, we will see
year….bouncey’s and mechanical rides also. We even have
one that adults can ride! ! Of course, we have the train ride,
hayride, and carnival games. There will be singing and
drama all day under the big tent, too. Food includes
hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, Funnel Cakes, Pop
Corn, Boiled Peanuts, and lots more. YOU CAN’T
AFFORD NOT TO BE THERE! Invite all your friends and
family to come join us.

willing to lend a hand, please see Pastor Terry, Jason Fowler,
Jonathan Atkins, or Tim Vassey. We can use you ! !
THEN ON SUNDAY, ANOTHER BIG DAY! The Roy
Knight Singers will be with us in the Morning Service
sharing about 4 songs, then they will do our Afternoon
Singing out at the Hwy. 101 property. That singing will take
the place of our Evening Worship Service and will begin at
4:00 P.M. We are going to have a great time! Tell everyone
you know about the Roy Knight Singers and let’s have a
Holy Ghost time on our property!

F.R.E.E.D. Open Meeting is Tuesday, October 6th, at 6:30 P.M.
Primary Church(Birth - Kindergarten) is having a King &
Queen contest …. A penny per vote, and all proceeds go to the
Building Fund. Monies should be turned in by 10:30 A.M. at
FallFest grounds. Prizes will be awarded later that day.
WE HAVE A REAL ACTOR AMONG US! ! Matthew
Franks has a substantial role in the Spartanburg Little Theatre
production of “Jams and The Giant Peach” which will be
performed October 9 and 10. Check your papers for times.

There’s a stirring in a Christian’s soul

A feeling in the air
That our time on earth is growing short
And the Lord’s return is near
Families have been destroyed
Our morals are in decay
The news gets worse each time we watch
Each and every day
Wars and crime are on the rise
Job loss is everywhere
People struggle to survive
And the problems are not just here
Obedience to God’s own Word
Has been all but pushed aside
People are doing what they want
The truth….replaced by lies
Our leaders are clueless with their acts
Some churches closing doors
And when you think it can’t get worse
The price of gas goes up once more
But everything that’s going on
Is God’s one last attempt
For us to touch a sinner’s heart
And get them to repent
Even with these troubled times
A Christian’s soul finds peace
Because we know what is to come
So it makes our worst fears cease
There’s a feeling in the air
So don’t let God’s call go in vain
Reach out to some sinner’s heart
While there’s still time for change
Amen
