WORD OF GOD ...

Descent into hell....

On your own you will never succeed in transfor ing your nature! for you lac" the strength to do so. #owever! there is One who has ac$uired this strength for you.... %he hu an &eing 'esus anaged to achieve so ething on your &ehalf to re edy your state of wea"ness which was the conse$uence of your (ast re&ellion against God.... %hus #e too" the conse$uences of this guilt of yours u(on #i self! #e (aid for your guilt with #is death on the cross and there&y ade it (ossi&le for you to receive strength again.... #e has ac$uired the strength for you and dis(enses it as a gift of grace.... (roviding you avail yourselves of the &lessings! for which your ac"nowledge ent of 'esus )hrist as *on of God and Redee er of the world is a (rere$uisite! which also includes the ac"nowledge ent of 'esus+ divinity. But what (reviously was i (ossi&le! that a (erson could change hi self again into the &eing of light he had originally &een! &eca e (ossi&le through 'esus+ crucifi, ion! and so the return to God will with certainty have ta"en (lace if only the hu an &eing a&ides &y 'esus )hrist! if he a((eals to #i for hel( on the (ath to (erfection. %he strength he su&se$uently receives is sufficient to li&erate hi self fro the control of the one who had (ulled hi into the a&yss and ercilessly "e(t hi ca(tive there! &ecause without the hel( of 'esus )hrist the &eing has no strength of its own to resist. 'esus )hrist! therefore! also descended to hell to &ring hel( to those who had already lost their earthly life &efore the act of *alvation and were still controlled &y God+s adversary. %hey did not succeed in li&erating the selves during their earthly life! for they were very wea" willed and thus succu &ed to the for er and re ained enslaved &y hi until the *aviour 'esus )hrist arrived Who they were allowed to follow unhindered! &ecause #e had also (aid the (urchase (rice with #is &lood for their souls. -et even these souls+ free will had to &e o&served.... &ut which was

su&se$uently strengthened if the soul was not entirely hostile.... #owever! the descent into hell is not &eing understood (ro(erly if only the willing souls are &eing entioned.... 'esus! the )rucified! also showed hi self in the slough of total de(ravity! #e dared to venture into #is adversary+s! #is fallen &rother+s! real .... #e stood &efore #i with #is wounds and showed #i what love was a&le to achieve.... #e faced hi li"e a &rother! &ut even this i ense sacrifice was una&le to soften the latter+s heart of stone.... *cornfully the (rince of hell turned away and with hi a large crowd of ost evil s(irits.... .ove did not find the way to their hearts for their hatred was greater and their will was free. God certainly "new that this would not &e successful/ nevertheless! the inha&itants of hell were offered the treasure of grace too! for love does not sto(! not even for the ost a&0ect creature! &ut it does not co (el its surrender.... -et the act of love &y 'esus! the an! could not overco e the hatred and o((osition! nevertheless! it was offered to the &eings of dar"ness as well! for 'esus+ love a((lied to all living creations and the descent into hell was a final atte (t to (ersuade God+s adversary to turn around! to give hi the final o((ortunity to change and to shorten the ti e of rede (tion for the fallen &eings.... But even this greatest act of love! which God #i self acco (lished in 'esus! the an! did not succeed in changing .ucifer+s arrogance and heartlessness! in fact! the latter regarded 'esus+ crucifi, ion as a triu (h of his (ower and strength.... #e considered hi self the winner who had succeeded in delivering a divine &eing to his servants.... who certainly recognised in the Being that had descended to hell the One Who had +died+ &ut not the One Who was +resurrected+.... .ucifer did not surrender! which the Deity had foreseen fro the start.... and thus was a&le to &ase on this the wor" of guiding the fallen &eings &ac" which! however! will also return this (rodigal son into the Father+s house one day when he recognises his wea"ness! &ut this will still ta"e eternities until all those having &een seduced &y hi have &een co (letely redee ed.... 1 en
