I Miss My RED Portfolio!

Once upon a time, my entire stock portfolio was all red. Today, I miss it. Its now only half red. Just half! Shucks. Our stocks are inching upwards. The blacks have returned. But I comfort myself at this bad news by telling myself that there are still a lot of great cheap stocks to buy. Oh well. A good thing doesnt last as long as you want, right? When I meet people who are sooooo happy that the stock market is moving up, I shake my head. Immediately, I know at once that these people are either short-term traders or longterm investors who think like short-term traders. (Not good.) My dear TrulyRichClub member, I want you to be a long-term investor who thinks like a long-term investor. Our multimillions will come 10 or 15 or 20 years from now. My fearless bet: 20 years from now, youll be richer than 95 percent of all the short-term traders in the world! May your dreams come true,

Bo Sanchez P.S. Mike Vinas shares about the continuing bullish market, and how we must continue to accumulate. P.S2. Do you need an explosive spiritual boost? Better Things Are Coming

By Mike Vias
It has been a stormy ride in the Stock Market these past months, causing worry, anxiety, and even panic for some. However, the storm has settled and the rainbow is coming out. Calmer waters will prevail as the worst is seen to be over and hopefully better things are coming from here on. That should give you a sigh of relief. Despite the stormy season in the stock market we saw these past months, the Philippines has remained fundamentally more resilient compared to other countries. We have been continuously saying this since the fall of the market last May. For there is no reason seen to change such a view as economic data released during these past months continue to support this argument. In 2013, our countrys GDP grew by 7.5% - the fastest in Asia. With 6.6% growth in July, our OFW remittances remain resilient as well. This brings total remittances for the first seven months of the year higher by 5.8% to US$12.6 billion. Also, despite the recent weakness of our currency, our inflation rate remained low at 2.5% in July and 2.1% last August.

Bull Market Continues

Now, to give assurance to those who may be wondering and worrying on the status of the bull market, no, the bull market is not yet over. Based on past technical data of markets dating 1994, a year where interest rates were raised by the US Federal Reserve, we saw the US market (S&P) did go down by about 8.9% only to rally 217% from 1994 levels when the market ended in 2000. Another instance in 2004 where the Fed again implied an increase in interest rates, we saw the US market drop by 8.2%. However, the market eventually recovered by 35% before going into a bear market in 2008. Take note that markets moved higher despite the rate hikes as economic conditions improved which led to stronger corporate earnings. Although, in spite of the worst being over and the bull market continuing, volatility the quick upward and downward sings of the market will remain in the short term. This will be caused primarily by the developments in the US government and economy, particularly the failure to raise the debt ceiling by October 17. This could lead to a shutdown of all US government services. Thus, investors may get very edgy over this US deadline, which could bring about further pullbacks in the US, European, and Japanese markets. This may also cascade down to us accordingly. However, such concerns are seen to eventually be resolved in the long term, but best to still be cautious. Furthermore, with bearish scenario analysis of interest rates, COL Researchs end June 2014 target for the PSEi is 6,450, almost at part with the markets current level. The improving technical picture of our index, wherein the PSEi recently broke above 6,400, which is the first indication that the downtrend has been broken, also supports this view. According to COLs Technical Research as long as our market stays above 6,000 it safe to say that the market has exited the correction or downward phase and is now on a consolidation or sideways phase.

Thus, such a time in the market is seen as a good period of accumulation given the view that the worst is over and that the bull market is still intact. As the market could stay at such levels and remain volatile for a while, it would be the opportune time to start accumulating stocks to position for the next wave up in this continuing bull market. The volatility of the market can make the process of buying stocks very emotionally stressful for trading. Therefore, to remove the emotion of trading, adopt our SAM method of slowly buying stocks under their buy below price with a fixed amount over time. This has been the culprit for the past success of a lot of our members in TRC. This is the best time to be utilizing SAM. Make sure youre buying regularly our SAM stocks, which are below their buy below price. This would be the best preparation for the next upward move of our market. Happy accumulating!
