: Intermediate 9 Identity Summary (150 to 300 words) The article is about a new technology that could identify us without the using of an account, I mean, without a username and a password either e-mail or bank accounts even in our smartphones. This revolutionary technology is based on biometrics that is the science of identifying people based on physical or behavioral traits, I mean, in the future all the gadgets will be able to recognize when we are interacting with them either by sending text-message, writing a letter on the computer or just clicking on the screen with the mouse. The new gadgets will even recognize us due to our fingerprint. In fact, there are some European banks that are using this technology in order to recognize their users with a high percentage of certainty. However, the classic problem with this topic still exists even in this century, I mean, the security of this new technology. We wonder who will be able to have access to our information, where will be stored and how will be used in the future because this kind of information is very personal and we could be in danger if this information is sold on the black market or is publically displayed. Finally, the article says that the biometric should be able to enhance security so we hope not be worried about this point. In the future, the machines will be able to recognize us. Personal Opinion (Min. 50 words for 150-word summaries | Min. 100 words for 300-word summaries) In my opinion, I loved this article because I learned about a very important advance in the technology that is the non-necessity of accounts in the future. I feel relieved because I have a lot of accounts on internet either my e-mails or my accounts in different pages and obviously the bank accounts like everybody and the new technology will make things easier for us because we wont have to remember all our usernames and passwords for each account. When I started using my first accounts either e-mail, softnyx account, sonico account, taringa account or user accounts of a community online I couldnt remember all my usernames and almost always I couldnt log in the webpage and that made me repeat my accounts, I mean, I used the same username and password for almost all my accounts. My problem will have a solution with this new technology based on biometrics. Besides, if biometrics becomes a course of the university or the institute, we could develop new technologies or enhance the security that apparently is the principal preoccupation of this technology. We could find opportunities to work abroad. At least, the community of informatics in Peru will be interested if some events or talks are having place in our country about this topic.
