The 49ers season


The 49ers went 13-3 in the regular season that year. Their home stadium was Candlestick Park in San Francisco After losing two of their first three games they finished the season on a twelve and one run.

They ran a 3-4 defense

Cooper were their leading rushers Ronnie Lott was the teams leading tackler with 89 tackles. for the 49ers

regular season that year Their home stadium was Texas stadium Tom Landry was their head coach. They were the NFC East Champions They went on four game win streaks three separate times.

Joe Montana wanted to make his mark on the league. After a 6-10 record last year, Joe Montana and the 49ers wanted to become know as super bowl contenders.

-Danny White was the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in 1981. - He backed up Roger Staubach for five seasons He wanted to make is mark on the NFL by leading the Dallas Cowboys to the Super Bowl.

1982 at Candlestick park. The stakes were high because it was the NFC Championship Game The San Francisco 49ers were attempting to defeat the Dallas Cowboys and go to the Super Bowl for the first time in the Joe Montana Era
