Entry requirements: In order to be accepted onto the LM 85 masters degree course it is necessary to have a bachelors degree or an equivalent foreign qualification. The Masters Degree in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences aims to prepare specialists in the planning and evaluation of educational actions. They will be able to independently make decisions regarding both the curriculum and extracurricular activities. The training acquired should also allow masters degree course graduates to aptly deal with selection examinations for entry into specialist schools in secondary education, qualification class 36/A (Philosophy, psychology and educational sciences) Career opportunities for graduates Graduates on this masters degree course may hold positions of great responsibility in planning, coordination and educational systems and educational support services; quality analysis of educational activities, in the business field, in public and private institutions, in regional and local authorities and in facilities connected with these institutions and more generally in integrated service systems created with the n. 328 law. They may carry out research and pedagogical consultancy activities, in public and private facilities, concerning all levels of educational issues (families, schools, courts and re-educational facilities for minors and the young, adoption and social interventions regarding children); activities of pedagogical consultancy and coordination of service activities, of projects of cultural programmes, directly or indirectly directed towards children; activities of pedagogical consultancy and coordination of activities, directly or indirectly educational, in multicultural contexts; activities of evaluation and monitoring of educational and training measures at various levels. The skills acquired favour self employment (individual consultancy, the promotion of cooperatives and societies).Finally, the specialist degree can be a valid premise for more in-depth studies via research doctorates and bursaries with the aim to form university researchers and teachers. Furthermore, the current norms in force allow holders of Masters Degrees in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences class access to the qualification class 36/A (Philosophy, psychology and educational sciences) The course prepares for the professions of researchers and graduate technicians in sciences of antiquity, philological-literary, historical, philosophical, pedagogical, psychological and juridical sciences.
