Display Concept
Advantages with the Displays

Design
The displays and accompanying signs are slim, flat and elegant. They fit into any environment, whether it is a bank, clinic or public office.

Flexibility
The displays are designed as a module system. They can be combined in different ways with or without signs. They can be used for fixed or moving messages. They can show figures, letters and other characters in Western languages as well as more complex characters as Chinese, Arabic, Thai and many others.

Fonts
Most standard non-serif fonts can be shown on the displays, for example Arial, Verdana, Helvetica and Futura. Roman fonts can be shown on the 16 series.

How the Display Concept Works

The Displays work this way Pixel A pixel is the same as one LED. For most Western languages you need 6 pixels for one character (5 pixels for the character and one pixel for the space between the characters). If you plan for a fixed message of 4 characters, you need a display with the length of 4 characters x 6 pixels = 24 pixels.

Types of Displays

All displays have a height of 8, 9 or 16 pixels. Standard height for Western languages is 9 pixels. Height of 16 pixels is needed for more complex characters like Chinese or Arabic characters. Displays with height of 8 pixels are basically the same as displays of 16 pixels, 4 pixels are removed from the upper part of the display and 4 pixels from the lower part of the display. The length of a display is also expressed in pixels. The following displays are available: Height 8 pixels: Height 9 pixels: Height 16 pixels: Length 32 pixels, 64 pixels, 96 pixels and 128 pixels. Length 11 pixels, 17 pixels, 24 pixels, 48 pixels, 72 pixels and 96 pixels. Length 32 pixels, 64 pixels, 96 pixels and 128 pixels.

Product Number

All displays have a Product No based on height and length in pixels. A display with height 9 pixels and length 24 pixels is named 924. A display with height 16 pixels and length 128 pixels is named 16128. For further information about the size of the displays in mm, please see the Product Specification on the back page.

Standard LED Colours

Red (R), Green (G) or Tri-Colour (Red-Green-Amber; RGA)911 and 917 only in Red.
