Students received their registration cards, along with information that will be helpful in completing this process, this past Friday. Registration cards will be due on Wednesday, February 12th. It is important that students talk to their current teachers this week to determine the best course placement for them next year to ensure the appropriate level of rigor for each course they register for. Once registration cards are collected on the 12th, students will meet with counselors to have any uestions answered and to complete the registration process. !his hursday, February !th, we will be hosting our "# Fair. !he fair will begin at $%&'pm for rising 11th and 12th grade students, and !%&' pm for rising (th and 1'th grade students. !he fair will allow parents and students to visit up to " #$ course information sessions to learn more about what each #$ course has to offer. %e encourage all students who are thinking about registering for an #$ course to come that evening with their parents, as students who register for these courses will not be able to drop them next year. %e look forward to working with you during the registration process and hope to see you !hursday evening.

Written notes are no longer acceptable! Beginning Second Semester, students who are late will only be allowed into class with a parent escort or a doctor/dentist note. This policy includes student drivers also. This policy has been put into place due to the high number of late students with forged notes. This policy will be in place until the tardy numbers are reduced!

2orth 3arolina is administering the #3! %ork.eys 3areer Readiness !est to seniors who have completed four 3areer and !echnical 4ducation 53!46 classes with one of those being a second level course. !he test will be given at #rdrey .ell &igh School on !uesday, February 1th from *+(1 a.m. 7 ((+,, a.m. to all our seniors that ualify based on the previously mentioned criteria. !his is a re uired test, no exceptions can be made. Students that ualify will be given a note with testing details through their homeroom teacher on February 1th and will be called to a special assembly that same day to answer uestions. Over the course of the day, students will learn techni ues for approaching the #3!, explore the 3arolina campus and its wideranging academic opportunities, as well as learn how to manage the college application process. !hey<ll also get the chance to connect with other outstanding students from across the country. !his program is free to students, although we regret that we cannot provide transportation assistance. ;ow do I nominate a student? !o nominate your outstanding students, simply direct them to the &eels for Success website. !he website contains instructions on how to apply and a link to the application. !he deadline for submitting applications is February >?, >,().
