1. Welcome Everyone Meeting adjorned at 6:03pm 2. Roll Call Attendance called by Maha 3. Adoption of Agenda Motioned by Maha 4. Presentations to Council VP Communication New Positions Jessica Chin Introduction of new positions. We are still looking for a videographer. The whole council watched the new FHS Games promotional video. FHS Games Brennan Dedecker & Kristen Crane The weekend of the FHS games was explained. Please see the PowerPoint for details. The event will be held on January 10th and 11th.

5. Presidents Announcements Laura A big thank you to everyone who helped out at Formal. A big thank you for Fall Preview Day and the great work. Good luck on exams! 6. Members Announcements VPs: Finance, Student Affairs, Student Events, Communications: Finance There is an upcoming SOF meeting. Presidents please submit your school councils applications. Student Affairs- There will be TA training. Student Events There is talk of collaboration for a tri sci event. School Council Presidents Health Studies The Gaspy event was a huge success raising over 700$ for dream team at their last event. Council had a dinner for bonding. The Council has a SOF committee meeting coming soon. Health Studies is having an upcoming Movie Night on December 6th. The first week of exams an exam de-stressor will be from December 9th until 13th. Health Studies is in talks with the USC for Take a Seat Make a Friend. Nursing They are preparing for the Nursing Games. This week is National Nursing Week to promote community. There was a job fair a few weeks ago that was a huge success. The Nursing team came together for a fundraiser run. They have an upcoming yoga fundraiser for a womans shelter. USC Councillors There was an amendment for increased student representation on the council. There are policy papers being made for affairs on a provincial and federal levels. Please bring any concerns for international students to Karima as she is on this subcommittee. There was a council meeting for peer support network yesterday to create a vision and mandate for this program. Project LEARN meeting was held last week and Laura gave an update on the

upcoming plans. Students-At-Large Members-At-Large Senate Senate is looking at Western Athletics and how students can be more involved in decisions. Academic counselling is an ongoing concern and there will be a review and feedback on what is currently being conducted throughout the faculty. Academic appeals will be made more transparent and consistent. Student donation funds are being reviewed. Library hours are looking to be extended for finals and midterms but transportation is an issue. Bus passes and health plan buy-ins for part time students are being negotiated. The provincial government is in a deficit and they are looking to make cuts in education. There is an opportunity for faculty strikes. There are a lot of challenges being faced but senate is doing its best to continue to keep student concerns at heart. Deans Office Head Soph Commissioners/Coordinators (Website, Social Media and Publications, FHS Games, Programming, Merchandise) The website has made a contribution page and any student can contribute. The Pulse has been launched. Please promote the FHS games. Council clothing is being looked at, currently a pull over zip up sweater. Governance Officer Speaker/Deputy Speaker
