There is nothing really about reality therapy that I embrace or support.

When developing my own therapeutic methodologies I do not see myself ever using any component of it in my own practice. I do not believe that all we ever do from birth to death is deal with how we behave. I reject the idea that everything we do as human beings is an attempt to get what we want to satisfy our needs. It ties into my feelings regarding behavior and cognitive therapy. I believe that we are much more complex and deep as humans. I do not think that every move I make minute to minute is to satisfy an innate need. Because I have experienced transference and countertransference I could never reject it! I never felt that I was avoiding being who I was by having these feelings. I think as a therapist we must embrace, acknowledge, and cope with all natural emotions that we experience. I believe that if a technique works for a client and will ensure his/her success in therapy then the idea behind it should not be rejected. Not focusing on symptoms does not seem healthy. All the therapist is doing is training the client to suppress their feelings, which may cause those emotions to manifest even deeper. All the components of reality therapy seem very limited to me. More than all of the other theories. I think that it does not leave any room for a client to grow and that this type of therapy would not work for many people. It seems like instead of dealing with peoples issues it is more of a way to avoid them. The idea of staying in the present rejects the past. Looking into the past, settling unresolved issues, and exploring significant life events helps a person learn and move into the present and deal with the future.

Ideas of feminist therapy can be implemented and very useful when necessary. It allows women to express their frustration over the limiting nature of traditional female roles. This model of therapy unites women who suffer from the basic limitations of earlier therapeutic models. Feminist therapy is important to me because it advocates for change in social structure and focuses on domains of inequality, power, self-determination, freedom, to recognize their capacity to have a career and an education. All of these areas need to be made available to all women who are brought up to believe they do not have access to these matters. I embrace all of the concepts that the feminist theory emphasizes because they are all genuine and authentic issues and allow the client-therapist relationship to be peer to peer. I think this therapy contributed a lot to the gender-sensitive issues. It promoted awareness of all types of oppression. It also shares and incorporates many of the same ideas from other methodologies. To me this shows that it is a flexible model that features important aspects of other therapies. Men can be feminist therapists and feminist therapy can be practiced with male clients. Feminist therapy can be beneficial to men who have gender role issues or have fear of women. This type of therapy can be very useful for dealing with specific populations. It examines culture, history, discrimination and empowers it clients to recognize their full potential. This type of therapy is knowledgeable and driven by feminist political values and examination, supported in diverse feminist learning on the attitude and analysis of women, men and gender, which directs both therapist and client to methods and resolutions improving feminist opposition, change and social

personal roles, and community, complex social and political associations and surroundings.
