1 Function
The function block RQCD is part of the Radio Control Subsystem (RCS) in the Base Station Controller (BSC). Block RQCD stores cell related data for locating and supervision functions in block group Radio Connection Quality Supervision (RCQS). Command parameter values are loaded from command blocks with RQCD supplying some parameter default values. The block RQCD also handles statistics concerning number of handover attempts as well as number of successful handovers.

OFFSET default value: 0 Packet reselection offset This parameter defines the reselection offset used during GPRS cell reselection. It is used to calculate GPRS_RESELECT_OFFSET using the formula PROFFSET - KHYST if Ericsson1 locating algorithm is applied and PROFFSET - LOHYST if Ericsson3 locating algorithm is applied. From -52 dB to -12 dB the value is stepped by 4 dB, from -12 dB to 12 dB the value is stepped by 2 dB, and from 12 dB to 48 dB the value is again stepped by 4 dB. If parameter PROFFSET is changed for a mutual relation then the reverse relation is also updated. The parameter for the reverse relation will have the same value but with opposite sign. Since the value -52 dB does not have a corresponding positive value, the reverse relation is set to 48 dB.
