and thank you for joining us on HWW on Today on STV. My name is OAO. My friends and family call me Ogbo the Great and my wife says Im her only Sweetheart. There is so much bad news around us and around the world but I can tell you that things are not always as bad as they seem. There will always be trouble and there will always be troublesome people in the world but you can still live a fullled life in the midst of trouble. Difcult times is not an excuse to fold your hands and let your dreams die. Let me pray a prayer someone prayed for me, May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house. ! Tess Gerritsen of The Mephisto Club said, I know theres evil in the world, and there always has been. But you dont need to believe in Satan or demons to explain it. Human beings are perfectly capable of evil all by themselves. ! When Stalin came, Russians thought it was the end of the world. Jozef Stalin caused the death of about 25 million people, how worse can evil and oppression be? But Jozef Stalin is gone forever. Then came the mighty Hitler. Hitler single-handedly sent 20 million souls to the grave. The world has never been the same after him. He became the modern reference point for evil, hatred and oppression. He gave the world a new word in the human vocabulary: holocaust. Hitler created the concentration camps where he committed such unprecedented cruelty that made Satan appear like a gentleman in comparison. ! Then the world has also witnessed many Idi Amins, Saddam Husseins, Abachas, Ghadafs, Osama bin Ladens, Kim Sung-II. But they all came and went. Like the grass in the eld, like owers they blossomed and wither when the sun goes down on them. He who spits at the wind spits on his face. Now, they are called history. Buried, to rise no more. Buried 6 feet under the earth, buried under our feet. All oppressors will end up under your feet. There are a few more Hitlers in Nigeria. But we wont call their names yet. We will patiently wait for the history books. History will remind us of a mindless war and blockade that caused the death of 2 million helpless people. They will end up in the same place: under our feet. ! The mystery to me is that the living never learn from the dead. If they did, we would not still have oppressors and killers amongst us. If the living politicians could only learn from the dead politicians, they will no longer steal public funds. But the living

never learn from the dead. Do you remember the story of the wicked man who died a long time ago. Under the torment of Hell, he shouted across to Father Abraham in Paradise, Father Abraham, please grant me just this one chance to go back and warn my relatives on earth so that they dont end up in hell like I did. ! Wise old Father Abraham answered him, My friend, we have more than enough prophets and teachers on Earth who will warn your relatives. The man insisted, No, Father Abraham. They wont listen to the prophets. But if I go, they will listen to me. ! The whole world is horried by what he is doing to his own people.We also have oppression and terror here at home with us masters of dynamite, explosions and death. Our elders said that when a mad man is dancing on the road, something in the bush is drumming for him. We dont know whose drums they are dancing to. We dont know where they will strike next. But heres what we do know: however hot the sun gets, it will never dry the sea. However long the night, the dawn will still break.Oppression and terror will not last forever. They, too, will be buried to rise no more. And the universe marches on. ! What can you do in these troubled times? The most important thing is that you must continue to dream, in spite of the times. You can be, do or have anything you wish. Dont let another persons drama cut short your own life. The cow does not relent from drinking water from a pond just because of the eyes of the frog. Did you dream of going further in your education, going to Harvard, getting an MBA or a PhD? Let nothing stop you. Did you plan to reach the pinnacle of your career by registering for a professional exams? What are you waiting for? Did you always want to own your business, become a billionaire and save your village from poverty? Let no terror hold you back. Have you found the love of your life and youre thinking about getting married? Ah, no better time to have a beautiful wife or a caring husband by your side. When you hear an explosion in the neighborhood at midnight, youll have someone to hug, and say, Sweetheart, its all right. Dont be afraid, Im right by your side. But dont marry a man like who will run away when he hears ordinary re crackers on New years eve. ! Do you have a dream to raise a happy family with excellent, obedient, hard working and respectful children? Dont relent! By the way, do you want to be a motivational speaker? Theres no better time to encourage people than now. Do you plan to own a huge farm plantation, or to construct a modern estate? Get down on it!

Do you plan to travel around the world, visiting exotic places with your family? The airlines are very happy to welcome you. Have you ever wanted to invent something, write a book, compose award winning music, play in the European League, or take your talent to the stars? Go for it! Today, I want you to look trouble in the face and say, No matter how bad things are or how bad it gets, I am going to make it. ! Troubles will always be there. Anyone who watches the weather will never plant his crops. Anyone who waits for conditions to be perfect before he takes that rst step to achieving his dreams will never accomplish anything. I have met people who have waited for 5 years to get enough money and to rent a house before they get married. Six years, they still dont have a house, and they still dont have enough money to plan their wedding. On the day I got married, nearly 17 years ago, we did not have drinks to serve the people. It was in the middle of the wedding that God provided the drinks. I quetly approached approached a woman that sold soft drinks and pleaded, Aunty, please serve my guest soft drinks. I will settle you after the wedding. And that was what I did. I just put together all the money we got from couples dance and paid her after the wedding. Am I not married today? Did money stop me? I did not have even have a bank account because there was nothing to put in the bank. But I got married anyway. I keep telling young people that you dont need money to get married. You need a vision; you need dream. When I proposed to my wife, I didnt give her money, I showed her a dream. I think the trouble is that some young people are not quite sure what they want to do with their lives. ! In the same way, if you wait until you have all the money and all the contacts before you start your business, this year will pass you by, like the years before it. You will never start. Conditions will never be perfect. Someone challenged me, Ogbo, I think you should not have left Shell at the time you did to pursue your dream. You left at a wrong time. And I asked him, When would have been the right time? My friends, conditions will never be perfect. Many people wait for perfect condition, and they never nd that perfect condition it until they die. They procrastinate until they discover too late that the only perfect condition is death. And by then, destiny becomes permanently frozen and its too late to be, do or have what they desired, isnt it? ! Finally, protect your soul from despair. Those who are succeeding among us have only one secret: they know how to keep themselves from being overwhelmed by the difcult times. That great man, Mahatma Ghandi, said, When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants

and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi is right: truth and love have always won, and will always win. ! Dont stop dreaming because of terror. You have a generation to build. You have a legacy to create. Death will not wait. You dont have all the time to waste.
