Installation, Configuration, and Licensing

Do the different licenses of Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server dictate how many users can access my application? No, Autodesk Infrastructure Map Servers license restrictions relate only to server processing power (cores) and activations. Please note that scalability is determined by many factors and hardware processing power is just a measure of how the product is licensed.

How can I license Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server software? Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server comes in three different versions: Workgroup Edition, two Cores this license is applicable for small servers or virtual machines limited to two cores. This is the minimum license unit. For a four cores server environment, you would need to acquire two Workgroup Edition licenses. Standard Edition, eight Cores this license is the typical deployment license for an average stand-alone server environment up to eight cores. Enterprise Edition, Site (five Activations) this license is for organizations that need to deploy on multiple servers, either due to physical locations or as a load-balanced configuration for a significant user base. Five activations means that the product can be installed and activated five times. The customer has the flexibility to deploy five times on either physical and/or virtual servers. You are not required to count cores in each server with this license.

Will there be a Trial license for the Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server? Yes, a 30-day Trial version* of Infrastructure Map Server (Windows version only) can be downloaded from www.autodesk.com/infrastructure-map-server. Can I purchase Topobase Web per concurrent user, as with previous versions? With Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server software, a concurrent user license is no longer required.

Do I need to count cores in all the servers that Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server (Workgroup and Standard editions) is installed on? How many cores are allowed with the Enterprise Edition, Site (five Activations) license? The Enterprise Edition, Site (five Activations) can be installed on up to five servers, irrespective of how many physical or logical cores are available to the Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server processes.

Compatibility and Interoperability
